    Two questions:

    1. What was your admission time if you were an overnight ? Trying to sort childcare with no idea what time I need it from is a bit of a nightmare,. I’d like my husband with me but I’m not sure how long for and we don’t have family in the uk.

    2. If you have to go in say before lunch, will they feed you? I see lots of people going on about tea and toast, but not actual food. I’m
Not sure I can survive on toast for 24 hours. I like my food. Shall
I pack a stash? Ha ha ha

I havnt had surgery yet,, but admission times are all different depending on who you have and what you have done and how many other people are having something something the same day, you wont know your admission time till 1-2 days before your op!! You could be in at 7am or you could be in at 2. Im going to pack some munchies just incase ahaha! Most people dont feel like eating after surgery from what i have read xx

Hi ladies, I’m book in for Monday 29th and today I found out my admission time will be 12 and I’m staying over night.
I had been told as soon as you get there you will see the nurse and then your Dr so hopefully no more than 3 hours after admission.
As for food you shouldn’t eat 6 hours before so I know I will be very hungry.
Good luck with your ops x

Hi. My admission time was 7.00 am I was offered tea and toast after surgery and was given venue to choose evening meal, I was not up to the evening meal so had more tea and toast. You can ask for toast up to around 8pm. The staff are amazing in the London clinic the care was brilliant. They will let ur husband stay with you in till you go down to theatre and will allow him back in one you return and you have been settled. I was dropped off and stayed on my own due to child care, everyone was so nice and put me at ease so you have no need to worry. Hope everything goes well

Hey, i was an overnight stay..admission time was 11:00am and I went down at around 15:30, i was so so hungry and couldn’t wait to get back to eat. My op was 3-4 hours i came back at around 19:00 and honestly i was so tired from the anaesthetic i couldnt be bothered but earlier before my op they had asked me what i would like (sandwich or salad) so i chose a sandwhich which was SO hard to eat :L because your throat is VERY dry after. Hope this helps hun! Im a massive foodie and even i didn’t wabt much haha xx
