im having unders/partials with mr traynor next week, i dont really wear button up shirts usually so dont want to buy too many tops that im not going to wear. How long was it before you could lift your arms properly and stick your normal clothes on?
I’m 5 days post op I wore a Tracksuit jacket to come home then just my macom I wore a normal Top yesterday my boyfriend just had to help me get it on x
havnt had my op yet but I only have one button up shirt im planning on just wearing strappy tops that I can step into and pull up over my but so I don’t have to lift my arms 🙂 x
fab @clouisexxxxx i dont plan on leaving my house in the first few days so i have a oversized button shirt nighty that il be wearing the first few days then i just have drop armhole tops for when i do go out. xx
@kirstykitten ive bought mainly drop amrhole tops so it easier to get my arms in once someone puts it over my head lol xx
haha whens your op ? mines Thursday this week the days cant go quick enough 🙂 xx
@kirstykitten mines next tuesday, 13th. wow yours is super close, you must be so excited! i have just been ordering my macom and v pillows and stuff today xx
next Tuesday wow that’s close to 🙂 it doesn’t quite feel real yet. yes super super excited already not sleeping im that excited hehe. are you having yours done at the Fitroy clinic in London? I have all my bits ready just need to pack hospital bag so far just have Bra’s and lip balm in there lol don’t know what else to take xx
Haha Kirsty that’s exactly what I wore when I had op on my collar bone. Saved my dignity since I only had my mum to help
I just wore my macom bra the first 5 days as I didn’t venture out of the house but by day 6 I could put a tshirt on xx
I was up and about walking around town with my mum shopping by 3DPO. I wore a jumper over the top of my MACOM but my boyfriend had to help me get into it! x
Hey @sophy123, best of luck with your op, so exciting!
I’m 4DPO only and had overs, I can’t lift my arms much yet so have been sticking to an oversized vest/tank top so I can drop the arms in/out and a zip up hoodie which I can almost get on by myself but occasionally need help with it going over the shoulders.
I have found loose fitting tracksuit bottoms but not with a super strong elastic waist band are good to pull up and down and I can grip too much 🙂 xx
Have anyone looked into a onesie ?????
@kirstykitten – mines at the first trust hospital in preston as im from up north, i dont think theres a lot we really need to take tbh if we are just day cases.
@maddiecourt – yeah i do think i will be housebound for a few days but i cant bear to just wear the macom if the bloat is anything like what people are saying! i will probably live in my button up nightshirt whilst i am in the house.
@danniilk – ah i hope im able to be up and about by then but knowing my luck i doubt it lol, my boyfriend has took the week off so he can help me put tops on etc when i need help too.
@peggypalms – thank you, that exactly what i intend on wearing. didnt think too much about not being able to grip actually! i will make sure im wearing easy pull up pants haha
thank you for the advice girls, much appreciated. im super excited/nervous/anxious now! xxxxx
