hi girlssss! i’m alive!!! haha :bigsmile:
so i was supposed to be at park hill hospital in doncaster at 9am but we were 10-15mins late due to traffic! when i got there i had to sign a form and was shown to my room. about 5 mins later a nurse came in called marcia (i think!). she was lovely! she went through everything with me & got me my nighty, paper knickers & those famous sexy socks! lol. after she left, 5 mins later mr kazzazi came in to draw on me, then about half an hour later my anesthatist came in. he said he’d see me soon so i thought i wasn’t going to be waiting too long but i didn’t go down to the theater til 1:50pm! i was really nervous ‘cos i’ve never had an op before, but the drip that goes into your hand to put you to sleep hardly hurt! the nurse said to me ‘you’re going to sleep now darling’, and i think i nodded then i was out like a light! i woke up at 3:50pm but i felt like i’d had a lovely sleep & woke up fine! when i got back to my room i watched tv for a while then my mum and dad came to see me which was really nice as i’d been on my own all day. later on i tried to eat some toast but couldn’t as sitting up made me feel sick. it was probably due to my chest feeling so tight & heavy. i didn’t get a very good nights sleep so ended up watching quite a bit of tv. the next morning i was brought my breakfast which i ate fine & had a nice cuppa! about half an hour later a nurse came in & took my drains out. this didn’t hurt at all! at about 11:30am my parents picked me up & i was on my way home!
this experience wasn’t as bad as i thought it was gonna be! i thought i was gonna be in loads of pain, but like most people say, it’s more discomfort!
