Hey ladies,
I have bought the asda post op bras that come in a 2 pack and they are lovely and soft and comfy, I was feeling like my mya bra was cutting in to me under my incisions so this works as it sits a bit lower!
My question is I’m finding the bra comfy and not sure if this is a good thing! I’m a 34 back and got a medium but should it feel tighter? It does feel snug and supportive but not tight. Any advise is appreciated I’m 18dpo
Thanks to the lady who recommended them on here 🙂
@vicky go with what’s comfy is my advice, you have enough to deal with without uncomfortable bras. I never wore one of those restrictive post op bras but opted for matalan light support bras ( definetly worked out more supportive than ‘light’ in my opinion. I have a large selection of bras, Royce bras are very comfortable , I have M&S nursing bras even , which are unbelievably supportive and comfortable , Asda pull on crop top type bras. I know some people might frown upon my choices but my boobs have evolved very well and I never crammed them in a macom of mya bra. You just have to try a selection in my opinion and see what suits you best , there’s no need to suffer in suffocating bras as far as I am concerned …obviously I’m no expert but this was my experience. I have spent a small fortune on bras from various shops. X
Thanks hun,
It feels supportive I was just worrying it wasn’t tight enough after reading some posts about bras being really tight.
Glad to hear other opinions and sounds like you have tried a few 🙂 and good to hear yours have settled well, thanks for the advice xx
Hey! I felt exactly the same my Mya bra was so tight and so uncomfy, I wore the Asda bra for about 3 days but after messaging my PC she advised getting something more supportive. I bought the Marks and Spencer sports bra and they are the best ever soo comfortable but yet really supportive. I’m going to stick to these for my 6weeks then probably go back to my Asda ones xxx
I’m looking for post op bras at the moment but I’m confused at what cupsize to choose as Iv noticed most M&S bras go by cup! How did you choose what size? Xx
Thanks holly, I’m gonna go try on the m&s ones too I think than I will have a range 🙂
Rose the asda ones come in small medium and large and I went with medium as that’s what my mya bras were, I think I will get measured for the m&s one
@Vicky bbe I always feel like a little bit tightness is a good thing, as the post-surgery treatment is meant to be that of ‘compression’ for 6 weeks, it’s not 100% comfy but it’s not forever! And gives MUCH nicer results, so id say it should always be tight tbh, but if you feel it is supportive enough no problem. Or why don’t you do what I do and use one of the comfier ones to sleep in, and tighter ones during the day? I sleep in my M&S and walk around in my Macom/HospitalBra during the day! I have about 3 bras and plan to buy the ASDA one when I’m around week 3/4 post-op (currently 10 days PO) for bedtime, as I’ve heard it’s super comfy. Don’t think I’d trust it as my all-round 24/7 bra, as I want my boobs to look the best they can post-op and forgetting about the comfort for 6 weeks xxx
@Rose for the M&S ones I got lucky with my guess! As I told my surgeon I wanted to AIM for around a DD? Most people buy the M&S ones their surgery day or straight after like the next day, where they have more of an idea. Honestly those M&S bras are amazing (the pink and black one is particularly for post-op) in terms of comfort AND MASSIVE support! Xxxx
@sylvianna yea I agree it needs to be compressed but just not sure how much ha ha, I am going to invest in the m&s one which I have seen a few girls recommend and keep the asda ones for later on 🙂
Thanks for the advice hun 🙂
