Uplift scars…. help! Started by: Rach-Emily

    I have had an uplift without implants 12 days ago on 19th July and I have a lolly pop scar!
    So far it hasn’t been painful but I went for a post op check up today and saw them for the first time,
    It hurt when she took the dressing off and cleaned them.
    Is it normal for them not to be fully closed up, I have about 3 or 4 tiny bits that hasn’t closed up so she put steri strips on them. How long did it take for yours to fully close up and start healing?

    Hi, your only 12 days post op so if your nurse wasn’t concerned then try not to. With my first surgery I can remember one of my scars took longer to heel on one side, it’s perfectly fine now though. Hope your recovering well other than that x

    Yeah she wasn’t worried, just put steri strips on.
    How long did it take for yours to close up and heal?
    Yes I’m recovering well thank you, back to work on Thursday x

    I would say it was a good couple of weeks for the scars to settle. They will take time Hun, try not to worry. My scars are nearly invisible now. I am having further breast surgery next week so will no doubt be feeling nervous again! Take care x
