Just wondered how the girls who had their ops mid July are getting on? Any pain still?
My left nipple is constantly sore and a bit of pain on the skin around the nipple but no redness or obvious swelling so putting it down to nerve damage…
Hi ya, I’m two weeks on, so a bit behind you.
Are you or have you suffered with dry skin around your nipples to, if so did you use any thing on it.
That and I’m putting all these strange feelings down to recovery. Xx
I’d love to know this too I’m only 5 dpo but we’re wanting to go for a few nights away when I’ll be roughly 3 weeks po (not abroad). Hope you are all healing well xxx
Hi @Lucy,
I’m feeling normal health wise, not really tired or in pain anymore. However same as you I have sore nipples, both of mine are sometimes really sensitive and sore, mostly at night and sometimes on waking in the morning my boobs are hard and achey! However I feel normal otherwise, I don’t feel restricted and really want to go back to the gym but I’m not going to as a precaution!! I have been putting vacaline on my nipples and it seems to of helped. Xx
Hiya @cher @claire
Yes that’s exactly the same as me so that’s good hopefully it’s normal?!
I’ve actually started at the gym I’ve got a really good sports bra and wear it over my Macon but I’m only doing gentle incline walking and leg work but it’s woo good to be back!
I’ve been putting lanolin nipple balm on my nipples as they feel like they did when I breastfeed… on FIRE!
Apart from that I can’t tell I had surgery 3 weeks ago I’m totally back to normal. I go away at 6 wpo so I can’t wait to put a bra / bikini on I just hope my fire nipples go lol.
X
Bless you, but please stop using lanolin it’s really no good for you, I learnt this while I studied beauty therapy.
Envy you going back to the gym, I’m not that close yet.
Comes to something doesn’t it, before I had little feeling in that area and I’m that sensitive now to the point of even if there’s a bit of a chill on the air my hole boob goes rock hard. Weird. Xx
I’m 4 weeks post op tomorrow and I’m finally having a few hours here & there that I totally forget about my boobs. I’ve still got sensitive nipples, they’re constantly stood to attention(annoying) and one is completely numb (which I’m told is very normal).
But I’m feeling better and better each day I’m pleased to say 🙂
Still a bit stiff at times, I over reached the other day and feel things pull a bit so still need to take care.
I’m desperate to get back to the gym, I doubled checked with my surgeon and he said to please wait the full 6 weeks, I’m scared on doing any damage as I’ve waited so long for these boobs that I’ve just been walking each day although I am tempted to go next week and start some lower body stuff.
So I’m pleased to say hang in there girls not long to go until you feel normal again and its only 2 weeks until I can go bra shopping, can’t bloody wait, woo hoo!
Ooooo I do can’t wait till then, happy shopping Kaye76. Xx
Hey I had my surgery 20th July so 3wpo tomorrow, feeling really good and barely notice them anymore apart from my nipples are rock hard and super sensitive haha I asked the nurse at my 2wpo and she said it’s completely normal as the implant is basically pushing your nipple out which made sense, incisions look really good and are very small which I’m impressed with, can still feel them on my post surgery bra which is annoying but oh well! Cannot wait to be able to wear a proper bra and show them off!
Wanted to ask how do you all find showering? The nurse said I could have a shower just not to put soap on my incisions but I’ve been having a super quick one as I’m scared about getting them too wet lol can I have a longer shows or should I stick to shallow baths? Xx
Ooo yes I got the all clear a week and bit more, the moment I got home I jumped straight into the shower and on there was no way I was rushing. Had a lovely straggle washing my hair, but I must say best shower ever. Shallow bath will be fine too.
I can’t wait to at lest stop wearing this bloody breast band it’s driving me mad, can’t find much to hide it while I’m in it. xx
