Hi everyone,
This is my first post on here. I had my surgery yesterday with Vivek Sivarajan at Elanic in Glasgow. I really can’t recommend Vivek enough. His CV is extremely impressive, he is a really nice man and his prices are competitive. I was a 34 small B prior to surgery, I am 5ft 2 and weigh around 7 and a half – 8 stone.
My left boob is naturally 20cc bigger than my right. I had high profile smooth silicone round implants partially under the muscle under local anaesthetic & sedation. That aspect of the whole procedure was fantastic – I went through to theatre and was chatting away to the anaesthetist (who is beside you the whole time). The anaesthetist gave me an anti sickness drug first, then and antibiotic followed by a really strong painkiller and i felt completely normal after that. He then said he would gradually begin the sedation whilst they were applying iodine to clean me and that’s the last thing I remember! I have no recollection of being cleaned or screens put up or anything. I don’t recall blacking out as such, and the nurse said I was talking to her throughout the whole procedure, I just have no memory of it. I woke up still in theatre and they were just moving me on to the bed to take me back to recovery. I was able to go home 1 and a half hours after the surgery ended which was great too. I just wanted to go home as soon as it was over! The girls at Elanic looked after me so well though and made me loads of cups of tea, haha.
The car journey home was awful – I felt every bump in the road until we got onto the motorway, which provided some relief. The journey home was around an hour as I live in Edinburgh and surgery was in Glasgow. I have to admit, the pain is a lot higher than I thought it would be, although it’s so worth it. I kind of feel like I’ve been kicked in the chest by a horse. I have been prescribed cocodomol, tramadol and strong ibuprofen to take but they don’t seem to be taking the edge off things yet. I barely slept last night too, the pain kept me awake. All in all though, I would do it again in a heartbeat as I love them so much already and can’t believe they’re mine! I’ve tried to attach some pictures, hopefully it works. The first pic is before, then immediately after surgery in recovery then this morning (about 18 hours post surgery). My bra is a post surgery 2 pack from Asda and cost £15. The nurse was very impressed with it and it’s so comfy.
Feel free to add me also.
Jenna x
