If the painkillers aren’t helping you can go to your GP and ask for something stronger. Codeine really disagreed with me and the paracetamol was doing nothing. I rang my doctors and explained to the receptionist that I’d had an operation and was in a lot of pain, :she got my doctor to ring me back and she prescribed me a short course of tramadol which was amazing

I had my surgery on Tuesday afternoon Annie and I had to call my own GP on Wednesday who prescribed me Tramadol and Diclofenac which is a stronger anti-inflamatory than ibuprofen. I was having to take 2 tramadol and a diclofenac before I was getting relief from the pain. It was keeping me awake, hadn’t slept for 36 hours. Don’t be afraid to ask for stronger, it’s just whatever works to manage your pain at this stage xx
