The ibis north is just five minutes away from the hospital, I’m staying the night before and the night of surgery and it was only about £110. You don’t stay over at the hospital unless you paid for over night. They say to stay at a near by hotel if you live far away though just incase you have any problems xx

We stayed at the Village hotel – Manchester Bury it was like 30/40 minutes away really nice & the bed was super comfy after my op they do some great deals too think mine was £75 and included a two course meal for two which was perfect after the op as we didn’t have to leave the hotel.

@stacey am in 18th October. I wasn’t going to go the night before but was my mam who suggested it just incase it is an early morning space with me wanting to be a day case. Good luck not long to go now for you xx

Hi, im from Newcastle, my admission was 8am so i needed 2 nights, we booked the Marriot (literaly a 2-3 minute drive from first trust) think we paid £189 for 2 nights but i booked a room with 2 double beds i was terrified husband would knock me in his sleep (it wasn’t an irrational fear he sleeps like he’s dancing! And he snores, apart from that im glad i met him :-)) Ibis is only a 5 minute drive the other way though and quite a bit cheaper, both hotels constantly have mya patients staying with them and are happy for food to be taken up to the rooms and supply extra pillows etc….x

@claudine thank you for your help I will probs use one of them to more so coz it’s close and they used to having people in. My other half is staying at home to get kids to school and stuff so Mam is coming with me. As long as I have plenty pop for when I wake up I might be ok lol xx
