So I got my clinic letter addressed to my GP through detailing exactly which implant I have chosen And placement etc. I’m not MYA so I don’t know if MYA patients get GP letter copies or not.
Anyway it says placement will be partial under the muscle, using a dual plane 3 technique. I have googled this and it seems that partial unders are set in pockets with either stage 1, 2 or 3 of muscle release, with 3 being the most muscle release. Stage 3 gives more breast tissue coverage than stage 1 or 2 and less muscle coverage.
I did wonder if this is why some unders look more compressed than others until d&f happens??? Or if stage stage 3 will be more painful as more of the pec muscle has been released? Anyone know more about this? I found this picture online (hope it uploads) image source: Parker centre for plastic surgery

This is interesting, I did get a GP letter but it doesn’t say on mine. I have no clue what mine was I was just told Partials, I’m going to ask my nurse when I see her tomorrow. Looked through my info and can’t see it written anywhere. I wonder what the most common is? Xx

Thriugh google i saw that technique 1 is most common for the standard BA. Though I must say this is Google research & not doctor endorsed! I found it interesting too as hadn’t realised there were different stages of muscle release x
