Seems that each surgeon has a different view on when they can come off so just wondered at what point did you all have your dressings fully off??xx

I had my strapping off on 7DPO, she then put a steri strip on and told me to remove it that night and shower. Not had anything on my incisions since then xx

Im just so desperate for a shower!! Lol im 10dpo today but still have my strips and a big plaster over xx

Oh wow. When did they say remove it? That seems so long, but I guess all surgeons have different rules xx

The nurse said to take it off thursday… could i get a shower with them on? Im all the leaflets i was given from my surgeon it says not to get them wet for the first 7days so i dont see why i cant shower so annoying.. oh an im getting ahead of myself im 9dpo haha xx

Is there anything you could use to cover them with @laura ?!
I know it’s a bit random but I work in a hospital and sometimes if someone has a cast on like their arm or leg we use a bag and tape around it in the shower lol
Not sure what you could use to cover but worth a think? Xx

I was thinking that Mae but cant think of anything i can use lol in the paperwork i got from my first consulation theres abit about aftercare an it says not to get the incissions wet for the first 7days so i dont understand why im not allowed to shower yet im on day 9. Getting a wash just isnt the same i want a nice hot shower lol xx

@lauraj1987 just thinking, could you remove them, have a shower, just water on incisions, and then redress them yourself with a big plaster? I know how annoying it was to not shower and I only had to last 7 days! Let alone 9 + 4 more! Xx

I have just spoke to someone from the clinic where i had my op an they have said to wait till i take them off thursday before getting them wet. Looks like another crappy shallow bath lol xx
