Hey girls,
I’m a newbie.. have been looking into every kind of information.. i have so many questions… OMG.. and excitment is actually something i have to sell.. i still havent booked even my first consultation.. but.. one of my questions is how long for us to drive po? I work in an office but need to drive around 1.30h a day.. i dont have many days left from my holidays and didnt want ti take anual leave..
Thanks girls..
They say minimum 2 weeks . You deffo would not be able to drive for the first week at all xx
Thank for getting back to me..
I meant unpaid leave!
Ohh i was hoping i could get back to work after the 7 days po consultation!!
I was told by nurse and surgeon I only need 7 days off work, I work in office too, I’m having partials so not as invasive as having uplift or unders I think
Depends on your car as well, automatic car you’ll find easier about a week no driving, manual car 2 weeks. Xx
@hannahlaura yours look amazing! my car is manual! I do have a few days left but should be around 1 week..
all worth it! As I cant wait to get it done..
I could go by public transport but can take up to 2h to get home. Not to speak about the risk of someone bumping into me!
@ba2018 thanks Hun :). Also you’re really tired for the first week or so, you really won’t want to drive for that long.
Do you work weekends? If not the best thing you could do would be what I did. I chose a Friday date. Then I had 9 full days off before having to think of work.
I actually found the train ride more comfortable than a car when I was early on! Weird I know, but speed bumps were awful. Xx
@hannahlaura i dont work om weekends and that might be a good idea. As per the train.. the time i waste is way too long..
I guess ill just take unpaid leave.. so there are no regrets after!
Im so excited.. cant wait!
I had unders an i was driving after 1 week i felt i could have drove after about 4 or 5 days but i didnt because i didnt need to go anywhere so left it until i did an was fine at 1wpo x
@Lauraj1987 looks like you had an amazing recovery. Just hope when i decide to get mine done it goes as smooth as possible..
Thing to remember with driving isn’t just changing gear it’s hash break or emergency stop, pressure from the seat belt on your new boobs could cause pain n possible complications to internal stitches etc,I drove short distances after 10days an automatic I could of drove sooner as I felt fine but my nurse had advised me on the breaking xx
@littlec87 thats one of my biggest fears.. harsh break… thanks for getting back to me <3
