Hello, I went for my pre op appointment yesterday so I am now wanting to get ready for my surgery on 7th November.. I am just wondering what bras people would recommend?
I was thinking of getting the MYA bras but my nurse said Matalan and Asda are good?
I mentioned the M&S bras but my nurse says they have a seam which sit where your incisions are so can be uncomfortable, have people found this?
I’m drawn to the MYA bras as the sizes are small, medium or large which saves me having to guess which size I’ll be.
I’m 34 A/B and having 400cc hp unders.
Recommendations would be great, I don’t want to waste money on the expensive bras if unnecessary.
Thank you x
Ive just got the m&s post surgery bra, my surgeon recommends them, it’s soooo soft xx
Never had a problem with the seam rubbing my incisions. I swear by the M&S ones, they’re super comfy! I never liked the MYA as they did up at the back, to much effort for me lol. The Macoms are good as well, they are sold in band size xx

I’ve been using the MYA bras and I find them very comfy 🙂 Ordering more tomorrow 🙂
I’d recommend the macom bra – it’s more expensive than the m&s but you can order just your band size and the cup is expandable.
I’m 6 days post op and I ordered the m&s one as a spare (guessing my new size!) and it was way too small xx
I used the shock absorber D+ my surgeon said it was one of the best bras he had seen for post surgery… very comfy and very supportive I also have 2 M&S high impact sports bras the back fastening one and they are very comfy but don’t feel as supportive as my shock absorber xx
I’ve got two of the M&S zip front ones, I find them really comfy! I couldn’t imagine not having a front fastening one either it’s so much easier to get in and out of when you can’t move your arms normally xx
I’ve got the maximum support bra and post op bra from Matalan as those were recommended by my surgeon. They are really comfy and don’t rub at all!
Only £8 as well! Can’t go wrong 🙂 xx
I love my macom bra. I’ve ordered another. I’ve tried other bras but they dig in. Because the macom expands and loosens its so comfy x
I love my Macom bra, I’m nearly three weeks post op and I find it so comfy. I have two and a recova which is nice for a change because it’s more flattering x
I’m a fan of macom too I bought one for straight after surgery then once I’d had it done and I knew the macom was the right size and comfy I ordered another. X
Hi where can I order my mya bra from? My surgery is on the 13th of November and I want to be organised.
I’m currently 6dpo and I love my Macom’s and would completely recommend to anyone! Xx
Thank you everyone for your advice 🙂
@liv-young91 I think you order them through your pc x
I brought the MYA bras but found them so uncomfortable. The material really irritated my skin and the seams hurt my incisions. I’ve gone to ASDA and brought some which are really good and seamless so are really comfortable. They also do them in small, medium and large,
I got the mya bras and there super comfy xxxx
I think it really is a personal choice. I’ve got the MYA ones and I find them uncomfortable the elastic is twisting in the band & digging into my incisions.
My surgeon recommended ‘granny bra’ from m&s so I ordered that & now a Macom one ( disc code MYA)
Hopefully more comfy. I didn’t think the MYA ones feel totally supportive – mind you bobs are numb anyway!
