Comfortable post op bra Started by: Samaj003

    Ive always found sports bras uncomfortable. The seam accross the front of the cup makes my nipples sore and they really dig in. Ive covered my nipples but still find them so uncomfortable. Ive got matalan, tesco and Asda… I’m considering buying the m&s bras for £30 but dont want to if they are uncomfortable too! Any recommendations for comfy bras? Does anybody else have this problem?

    My surgeons only likes back fastening and im a 32 (wearing 34 at min) D.

    I’m having the exact same problems, I’m 4 weeks post op and trying to find a comfy bra is proving to be impossible!!! I bought a super comfy bra from m and s a couple of weeks ago but must have still had swelling as it seems to chaf my whole boob now, sports bras are impossible as like you say the lines go across the nipple or the band digs in and rubs on the scar, out of desperation I bought a Calvin Klein sports top but worried as i don’t feel it’s not got much support, if you find anything that works please let me know, I feel as though I am wasting so much time and money just to get comfort but to no avail, it’s driving me mad, I feel your pain xx

    Im 2WPO – I know you said the surgeon not liking front fastening – I didn’t get on with MYA ones I am sure they should have sold me medium – I queried at the time and was told to have small. Literally dug into my incisions so much and I had a purple line round me.
    I’ve bought the M&S granny bra as recommended by my surgeon, very comfortable, but a bit itchy on itch days. I have bought a Macom now too. So comfy. I feel like my boobs have been able to do what they should wearing this. My incisions feel so much better too as the elastic was doubling over in the MYA one. It’s a proper post op one so not worried about supporting enough, it is front fastening tho – if you buy one use code MYA at checkout for discount.

    I am going to text the nurse on monday and ask about front fastening as im at my wits end. Ive got a big rash now all over my chest and cleavage and i think its these flipping bras! I think ill give the macom a try. I got shingles 10 days post op all over my left breast, its not as painful now but sports bras make it worse. Im getting fed up!
