Hi girls! So I have now seen four surgeons (two at MYA and two elsewhere) and have been given conflicting advice! The two MYA surgeons have recommended high profile partials and the other two mod plus overs. I am currently a 34b and looking to be around a D – so looking at around 300-350ccs. Had anyone with similar stats had this issue and how did you decide what to go for? Thanks xx
Hi Hun mod plus implants are usually use for girls with a wider boarder back and have less projection then high profile implants mod plus used on the a woman with a smaller back can stick out at sides and top giving that fake look however used on the right woman with the right measurements can look totally perfect and normal same as high profile and ultra high implants it’s all down to your measurements and sugoen really I’d go back to a sugoen and ask him why he suggested the type of profile for you and query why mod or why high profile depending on what one you go back to if it helps I’m a 36 back and had high profile I have pics on my profile if I want to look to get a feel for the profile obvs not size as I had 600cc
@staceymlx thank you for your reply 🙂 I always thought I have quite a broad back and shoulders. Hard to explain but my boobs don’t cover the sides of my body – so maybe I do need mod plus to get a bit of side boob. Can I ask why you chose high profile? Xx
Hi Hun yeah I would probs benefit from mod plus to get a bit more side boob then obvs I’m not the experts tho and I choose high profile as I went with my sugoens suggestions on what he thought would be best for me and I’m glad I listened and they are perfect now xxx
I chose mod plus I was a 34a/b, I’m glad I did cos I was more concerned that high profile may give the appearance of a wider gap n I wanted the cleavage the projection in my size was about 1cm less with mod plus, I also have bigger hips (size 12) I have side boob but not much is very happy with my choice but I have seen great results from high profile aswell… if u have a wide gap I’d say go for mod plus coz it will give the impression of a smaller gap but if u have normal gap then I’d say either will look good but like Stacey said u could ask why the surgeon has picked that profile… I specifically asked for mod plus as I’d seen great cleavage with them and as I’m not Petit I new I would be able to have them, I’ve got 450 partials xx
I was recommended different sizes and profiles by 2 surgeons, and when I saw my 3rd he was much more helpful in saying ‘if you want this profile you can go up to this cc’, so for HP I could have gone up to 375cc because of my breast width, however with mod+ I can only go up to 300cc.
Because I am more concerned about breast fullness and cleavage (i.e. I don’t want a big gap), and I don’t want loads of projection or to be too big, I’m going for between 275 and 300cc mod+ profile (tbc on my 2nd appointment on Thursday!).
It helps if you know your breast width that you’ve got to stay within, and then have a look on the implant size chart online (just google ‘mentor breast implant sizes’, or whatever brand).
I don’t have a wide back, and usually wear either a 32b or 32c, and want to be no bigger than a DD, hence staying in the 300cc range.
Hope that helps! I’m having my Op in December (not MYA).
Hey hun I have a very narrow back of 28 prior to my op I wore a 30 C bra. I had to have mod + due to my boobs having a large gap and being wide also.
My gap has lessened and I have good, full but not in ur face cleavage when wearing unwired bras/Crop tops/ No bra. I defo have side boob but I don’t mind.
I think the advice holly gave u in regards to some limits and projection is spot on as the projection and width is essentially giving u the final look so u need to try and speak with a surgeon (who ever u felt most confident /comfortable with) again so they can go into more detail about the possible final outcomes
Good luck
Hi girls! Thank you all for your advice think I have got my head around it a bit more now :-). @holly1101 are you going under or over the muscle? Xx
I’ll be going under!
Hi Lauren, that’s exactly how I would describe my sides and back! I have always said I have a ‘man back’ lol so the last thing I want is to feel too ‘bulky or boxy’ on my top half. But I’ve always hated how my boobs don’t cover the sides! And now after 2 babies, breastfeeding and weight loss they are just empty little sacks too! I have my first consultation so I will be interested to see what they recommend. Think I am going to shop around a bit though xx
