    I’ve had my op today which everything has gone really well. I’m just wondering though as I was so drowsy and sleepy today I didn’t ask after the op. Do we only need painkillers, no antibiotics?

    Hi Jennie glad all went well for you, I had my op yesterday!! I was given ibuprofen, co codamol and co amoxiclav antibiotics before I was discharged, unless they thought you didn’t need them? Xx

    I think usually they give you antiobiotics after op as a precautionary measure? But I may be wrong x

    I was so drowsy I just can’t remember what she said about my meds. I’ve not had any co codamol since 4 and I feel less sick so I took a ibupofen at 8 will I now be ok to take 2 co codamol? Its 10.40 xx

    Call the helpline asap and speak to a nurse who can advise u on what meds to take if u don’t wana continue with the painkillers give to u. U should have been given a schedule to follow and get ur antibiotics if u domt have them as they need to be taken as uve had a major operation. Infection will mess up ur healing and could lead to an additional op if it’s serious.

    Hey Jennie how are you feeling? I was up at 3am in soooooo much pain oh my life. I slid down flat in the night so thinking that may of been it so I got up and had 2 ibuprofen and felt much better!!
