Being sick after antibiotics Started by: Abi taylor

    I’m having a really hard time trying to keep my tablets down, every time I take my antibiotics I go really dizzy and hot and I’m sick so much after, I’m worried that they will stop working but I’ve tried taking them on their own instead of with painkillers and it does the same to me, is this happening to anyone else? Xx

    Hey, I had the same problems when I was taking them but as long as I made sure I had them straight after food I was fine! If they are still making you sick with food I would contact the nurse to see if they can give you different antibiotics to try? Xx

    My nurse told me if they made me feel ill nor to take them as they are for prevention and not actually because of having an infection therefore she would rather I felt well if I didn’t need them than take them and be ill….I lasted two days on them and stopped taking them as they were wrecking my stomach and when I told her this at my post op she said that was absolutely fine and I was healing really well anyway, so id give your nurse a call babe xc

    Thankyou girls! I’ll give her a call today, I have my bandages off Thursday this week so fingers crossed I’m healing well! I’ll try them with food today and see how I go too as I was taking them at set times before even on a empty stomach xxx
