So I’m 1 day post op and it’s really painful, sore and burning (especially where incisions are). When is this likely to stop
Taking pain killers and antibiotics as recommended.

Also when can I sleep on my back? Sleeping upright is so uncomfortable!

What size is everyone who has the same specs as me? Right now I feel huge!!

Also spoke to my surgeon about dropping and fluffing and they hadn’t heard of it, neither had anyone at the Harley medical group. Is this just a Mya term? Does it actually happen?

Hi Polly, I had 275 unders and was a 32AA and am 5”4. I’m 12 days post op now and feeling so much better. Day 1&2 were the worst but after day 5 I really started to feel myself again so don’t worry it will get better. I think I stopped taking my pain killers around day 4/5.

I’m not enjoying sleeping upright either but my nurse said to do it for 4-6 weeks, she said eventually my body will just fall down the bed naturally but she said if I did it too soon I would be in pain and could affect the implants settling into their pockets properly.

I’m not sure what size I am now, but I’ll let you know once I get measured after 6 weeks, attached is picture I took after 10 days, you might feel huge due to the swelling but it should calm down in a few days.

My nurse said drop and fluff is real, I’m not sure if it’s just a mya term but you will notice over the next few days they won’t look as high up and won’t be sitting in your armpits as much, I think it takes quite a while before they’re all the way settled so we just have to be patient 🙂 xx

Yours look a lot better than mine I must say!
I’m looking forward to not having so much pain.

I’m in a 34c while zip sports bra from m&s and for say 1 it seems to be a snug fit, I’ve woken up today and its a little big at the top (probably where the swelling has gone down) I’m not sure if I should change into my 32c one or not.
What size did you wear after surgery?

Trust me they did not look like this on day 1, I’ve taken pictures everyday so that I can remind myself how much they change as every other day I go into a panic that I hate them and the next day I love them again lol. Don’t worry after a couple of days you will start to feel much better, I think on day 4 I was getting a bit fed up of the pain but day 5 was a big turning point.

I got a 32DD white sports bra from m&s for after surgery and it fits really well, I’m still wearing the same size and it’s not gone loose yet and most of my swelling is gone, it might be worth you getting a 32 just in case? I was told to get the same back size as before my op. Or you could wait and ask your nurse what she thinks at your first check up. The M&S ones seem to be all sold out in the popular sizes at the moment 🙁

    Xx

I had a 32C just in case and I’ve put it on now and it feels soooo much better. I think the 34 probably was too big and gave no support, hence why I was hurting so much!

I was only 47kg to begin with and I have quite wide apart breasts naturally which might be why I’m only a C. But who knows could become a D with the drop and fluff. It’s only early days.

Just taken a photo and looks like my right boob is way bigger than my left. My right was always a little bigger anyways. But I hope after swelling goes away they look a little more even.

All I want to do now is have a poo ???????? These pain killers have me all clogged up. I know it’s not very nice to hear that haha. That’s my reality right now!

Oh brilliant! That might’ve been why you were hurting so much! I had quite a big gap which is still there but it doesn’t look so bad.

My right one is different to my left as well, apparently it’s because I’m right handed so the muscle is a little tighter and that one will take longer to settle. I’m sure they will be fine in the end. Defo take pictures though they make me feel so much better when you can compare how much they’ve changed.

Yea I think they said the general anaesthetic can make you constipated and then the codine does as well it it slows down your bowels lol, I ate some bran flakes and that soon sorted me out haha xx

    Hi polly
I’m just over 3 weeks post op I had 265 unders I’m 5ft 2 7st10. The first 3/4 days where the worst but I was sleeping on my back after that . My nurse saw me 1 week post op and said I was fine to start sleeping on my side and everything ! I didn’t tho only just starting to manage that now and I soon turn over . You will find you’ll fit into more things as your swelling goes down- I’ll attach a pic for you the 1st is before the op 2nd is 3 days and last is 1 week. My left is still different to my right and it looks bigger but my nurse said that for 6/8 weeks they are both different then
    They start to settle
