Sorry for all the questions lol!
My son will be 17m when i hope to have surgury in May half term. Im chosing then as my daughter who is 12! Will be off school so can help me when my son needs lifting up. My partner cant take anymore holiday as we already have plans for it to be used up over the year.
Im guessing 1 week isnt enough? How did you or are you planning on coping? X x x
Hi Hun I had my ba when my 2 year old was 18 months my hubby was supposeto have two weeks off but with he’s job he got called away day 2 post op for me so was on my own with three kids befor my op I made sure I had everything I needed at hand level so I didn’t have to reach for anything regards to my two year old I got him climb next to me on the sofa or I would sit on the floor with him and play him I only thing I struggled with was bath time but I got my 11 year old daughter to help me with that I think as a mother we find ways to adapt by day three I was doing my house work and grooving just being a lil careful doing it and doing if al slower than I would xxxx
I had 2 under 2. My in laws took my children away to Spain for 10 days. I still really struggled with them both when they got back lifting them up. Lifting my son made me so achy and sore. Just try and take it slow and steady xx
Thanks for your reply hun, that puts me at ease! Its the putting in and out of cot that worries me but hes only 12m now so probably wont nap as much, climbing on is a good idea.. ill try tonuse my legs rather than back and arms to lift up. ill leave baths till my partner gets home ???? x x
Oh gosh i cant imagine 2 under 2! Will do hun, thank you x
I’m currently 15dpo my youngest is 19months I have managed to comfortably pick him up a few times now but I get right town to his level so he comes in for a cuddle then do it that way as that seems easier. I was lucky that my husband had some time off over Xmas to help, my son is very adventurous and is a climber which helps lol! He can get up and downstairs with you just holding his hand and he climbs in and out of his high chair so that’s made life a little easier. Bath time is done at night by daddy lol! I think I found it more emotionally draining at first when he would cry for a cuddle and I couldn’t do it, the things we do for nice boobs 🙂 xx
It was pure hell for the first 8 months haha! It was lifting my youngest into his cot and out again that gave me the most acheyness and nappy changes… you know because even on a normal day a nappy change is like trying to dress a crocodile lol! Xxx
Haha thats so true! I tried pulls up but they are just as bad as you have to wrestle with trousers again lol x
I was on my own after 4days Hun with 1yr old and 2x 5yr olds.. i managed better than I thought tbh as I wasn’t really in any pain.. just don’t do them mash potatoes lol it’s so hard to push down the masher ????????♀️
I managed to get my 1yr old to sleep in her cot with the side off and just put one of the bed guards on it so I didn’t have to lift her in and out.. (I got her used to it a couple of weeks before opp) xx
Thats a good idea! I was thinking of me picking him up less just before alsoso he gets used to it a bit more x x

Hey I took the sides off the cot and but the side rails so he could climb in and out himself as this was my main concern also 🙂 Xx
I told mine (4 of them) I’d hurt my back and it was much easier than I’d anticipated. They just accepted it. Couldn’t believe it! Youngest was 2.5. I cuddled a lot laying down and held hands instead of picking up.when you have no choice and you can’t give in, is surprising that they actually listen. Shows how soft I am usually…
