Hiya – so i’ve got my ba on friday and am having High profile round partials and just getting a bit nervous as the day gets nearer about how much pain i will be in after having them done?
Anyone who has had partials can you please let me know your experiences good and bad so i can prepare myself ! thank you xx
Hi Rebecca I had 390 cc under the muscle and
I am 6dpo and can honestly say it’s been so much easier than I thought it was going to be. When I came around I had no pain at all just couldn’t really use my arms as felt achey but wasn’t unbearable at all. The first day I took painkillers as given but Day 2 I was off them . I definitely needed help with getting things from cupboards and getting changed but had minimal pain again just felt tight like I had over done it at the gym on my chest .My mum had my Daughter for 3 days for me but now my Partner just helps with lifting in and out the cot for me . I know everyone experiences pain differently and I was dreading it but I would do it all over again for sure . Just listen to your body after , eat healthy and hopefully you will recover really quickly . Best of luck with the op you will love them xx
I had 300/350cc high profile partials and had exactly the same experience as Natalie above. No where near the pain I was expecting, the only thing I suffered with was back pain from sleeping upright. I didn’t pick my girls up for two weeks or drive but apart from that I could do pretty much everything after the first day, I just felt like I’d hit the gym too hard. Good luck with your op lovely! Xx
Hi Rebecca, I’m 1wpo, I had 250 hp unders, I’m still taking my pain killers co codomol morning and night and paracetamol in the day, My right arm I can lift to brush my hair but my left arm I still can’t lift above my shoulder, My scars are now itchy and I’m still a little bit bloated, and my pain is more a constant ache just under my boob’s which will be from bruising. I’m a very fit and healthy gym bunny, I won’t be attempting to drive anytime soon. I can and am walking around the house, but am aware I need to take it easy. Sleeping sitting up is a pain and I’m not sleeping very well due to this, which is probably not helping my mood!. I don’t regret it at all and my worst day was day 4 I have definitely got better since then. Please just listen to your surgeon and your own body, we’re all different.
Hi.
I had 400cc partials and I was in no real pain at all. Just discomfort from swelling. The only pain I experienced was coughing or sneezing for the first few days or when I moved a bit too quickly. I also had some insane back pain from sleeping sitting up! I started to feel ‘normal’ by day 5 and by day 7 I was back to driving, changing nappies and doing most things for myself 🙂 hope that helps xx
thank you so so much everyone !! you have really helped calm my nerves – i am really excited just think a few little nerves are getting in the way i know it will all be worth it in the end – i will take all of your advice and tips on board. doesn’t help that i keep having nightmares about being put out for the anesthetic but again i’m sure i’m just over thinking everything! xxxx
