Sorry to hear that your in so much pain, have your pain killers helped at all? Also I’ve heard that arnica (not sure if that’s how you spell it) works wonders for the healing process helps with swelling and bruising, which in turn should also help you with pain, try keep hydrated as much as possible and plenty of rest if you can, also do you have anyone to help you with the kids while your recovering xx

Tiff I think you just need to rest. I’m not in any way having a go, being nasty or judgemental. You’ve had a big surgery which will cause pain for you it’s only natural, it’s different for everyone and hurts more than it does others. You should never expect to have no pain as you’ve been operated on and it’s only natural to have discomfort. The pain you’re experiencing will ease with rest, medication and following the right advise you’re given. I think being so full of emotion you need to take a step back and understand you can cause a lot of fear for those still waiting to have their ops and it’s really quite unsettling to read. Please take into consideration that not everyone will have he same experience but please don’t be making such comments that can really put fear into other people. Think positive for yourself as well as others.

I had my surgery 4 weeks ago and woke up with no pain just a bit uncomfortable and that is the truth!! If your pain is worse than having kids than something is not normal, I feel for u I really do but this will scare girls waiting for there ops, think your just one of the unlucky ones hope u feel better and the rest of your recovery goes well x

Tiffany we understand you’re in a lot of pain and it’s not necessarily nice but I’m sure no one fooled you and if anything you fooled yourself by not researching enough. Most certaintly no one said it was easy but bareable…

You had under the muscle implants which are prone to give you more pain and a more intensive recovery so how did you think it would be so easy?

You’ve just had the op done today, you can’t expect it to be all painless and if anything you’re feeling pressure rather than pain which if you read through most posts on here, every other girl has said the same thing.

Please don’t continue being so negative when there are so many other girls out there awaiting ops or considering the BA. It’s unfortunate you were this unlucky and I hope the pain eases off. Your recovery hasn’t even started yet for you to be that negative right away.

Tiffany I understand u must be in some pain to be taking the time to warn others literally straight out of theatre but honestly hun this really isn’t beneficial for anyone! Especially girls on the forum who come on here whilst researching before there op. I have already put my op back once and I can honestly say that without hearing lots of girls journeys that haven’t been exactly pain free and plain sailing but have in fact been manageable I would probably read something like this and back out again. I completely get that u would like to warn girls that it might not be the easiest of ops but give it time hun ur only an hour post op…

I must admit my surgery day went great, yes I had pain and discomfort but I wasn’t under any disillusions, I knew what I was having done as it was a choice I had made and the end product certainly outweighed any issues or worries I had and I certainly dealt with my ba better than giving birth lol.
I had unders and I know the recovery is worse that overs but it’s worth it. Hope you feel better soon. x

I was shocked when first reading this then thought about the pain i was in when pregnant when tearing my muscles in my ribs and then the pain of labour.. could i eat a sandwhich and go online and write up a post?… lol no way! So this gave me comfort in knowing this lady is no way in that much pain. Im going to go back to being excited about my op again now!
I wish you a full and fast recovery x

Sorry to hear your having a hard time Tiff. Your best to concentrate on getting lots of rest for now, which will help your recovery. I’m sure you’ll end up with a result your happy with. It is a big operation, so some pain is to be expected. The ladies on here want to be positive about their experiences, so as not to discourage others who feel they really want or need this surgery. Wishing you a speedy recovery xx

Evening ladies… sorry to hear you had an uncomfortable experience
Not to be harsh but I work in surgery myself and i know how patients can talk etc etc with their experience sharing stories . Im having my own boobs done myself soon and im nervous .. but to think you’re going to come out of any operation pain free/ right as rain so to speak is absurd.
Everyone is different. Everyone’s pain threshold is different and reaction to anaesthetic is differe t . Please Remember this .xx

I’m sorry you are in so much pain but I find your post a little confusing, I’ve had two kids and when it was at my utter agony point there was no way in hell I could of eaten a sandwich or held my phone long enough to write a post. I’m also confused as to why the medical staff there wouldn’t be offering you some stringer pain relief if the pain is that bad? I’m not trying to have a go at you or anything but maybe the emotions are a result of your general and everything is just a bit overwhelming for you at the moment. Hopefully some rest will help but I do honestly think you need to be asked for stronger pain meds if you are truly in the level of pain that you claim to be in x

I’m honestly not trying to scare anyone and I knew it was going to be more painful but it wasn’t the pain I was expecting if that makes sense like anyone with babies when you go into labour like you don’t exsepct that pain because you have not experienced it before if that make sense im so sorry of ive upset anyone I no it will get better with some painkillers and time I’m still very emotion I don’t no why I did do alot of research I no unders can be more painful it’s just this pain isn’t like I’ve heard anyone describe mot even my surgeon discribed it like this so it was just a massive massive shock to me i do deeply apologise

Oh bless you so sorry you had that sort of pain. Do you think your possibly immune to the pain killers they gave you during/immediately post op. I think I had quite a tough recovery all in all. I had a really rough few days those first days my chest was tight and painful too but I literally just sat/laid on the sofa. I was actually totally fine immediately post op whatever drugs they gave me in the actual surgery meant I was totally numb to it and felt nothing at all but tiredness. Totally agree that it can be painful like I say I had a quite rough recovery compared to some and your right people should definitely be prepared that they might not be the lucky ones but I definitely think something is odd about u being in that much pain right away!!

I did have morphine just after i woke up then something else i dont no what it was but it didnt ease it at all i don’t no why i thought it was odd being in so much pain it still hurts alot but if i stay still it.does ease now its just my back i dont no whats wromg with it but it really hurts like I’ve pulled a muscal or something so I’m guessing that wasn’t helping with the pain so so sorry again

Honestly I think you might be like immune to morphine or something that’s madness Hun. I mean I really thought my recovery was one of the bad ones, but most of my pain came the day after the op. You shouldn’t really be feeling that much immediately after. There was days I cried. It is upsetting not being able to sit up urself and do things but u will get used to it and you’ll be ok. Even though it’s tough the main pain really does only last a few days, and within a few weeks you’ll feel totally fine. I’m 10wpo now and it’s like I never had them done im so comfortable and used to them. I would talk to the nurse about this back pain though. Maybe they had to push down on your chest heavily to get the implant in or something and have hurt ur back it’s very odd. Just look after yourself I’m sure girls will see you were just emotional and in pain xxx

i dont think ive heard of anyone being in this much pain after surgery.. no one would have it done if that was the case , something has clearly gone wrong here with your pain relief , i was fine after mine, i was up and about just a little discomfort like everyone else said, u certainly wasnt misled by anyone on here.

    Hi girls

Gutted for the pain your in, it must be so difficult and made all the worse from the side effects of the anaesthetic. I too have had surgery today and I wanted to let the girls on here know not to be frightened as this is not the same in all cases. I’ve not experienced any pain (but I have had overs so totally different to this scenario) or tightness on my chest. Just a little discomfort every nown and again. They look great too and the nurse are sooooo lovely, nothings too much trouble! My nipple colour looked a bit dark so they asked the doc to come and examine it just for peace of mind. Xxx

Can we all spread the love for each of our experiences. To the anonymous lady, I would definitely say ring the ward ASAP but to any girls that are waiting for there op PLEASE DO NOT PANIC you are provided with plenty of pain relief and support throughout and in my opinion it’s day 3/4 that’s the mini pain weekend but I’m now 7 days post op and still alive with fab boobies – Think girls .. no pain no gain ! Lots of love 🙂

Pre op girls please don’t be put off! I was terrified and if I’d of read this before I’d of been stupidly scared! It’s really not that bad! I’m 5 days PO and have stopped all pain relief! I only took paracetamol and stopped that from day 3! Obviously there is tightness and discomfort, but I never felt actual pain. I do hope you feel better soon, but please don’t put other girls off following their dreams!

Girls as a group we need to show support to everyone, yes this might be a shock to read for girls pre op, I’m waiting and I didn’t find this scary but felt she needs support and we all have different experiences and opinions, intact I think it is informative as surgery is quite serious and shouldn’t be taken lightly, yes there are lots of girls who experience easier recovery’s but it’s also quite painful for others, I would suggest speaking to your nurse to see if they can help you and please pre op girls do not be scared or put off by this post but do take into consideration that even with pain killers pain is inevitable, each of us are different and have different thresh holds of pain, let’s all support this woman as her experience of recovery wasn’t the best, bust please post op girls be optimistic and positive but also realistic, and don’t be scared to go ahead with having boobies a little bit of pain for a greater gain! Good luck with your recovery and good luck to all the pre op girls best wishes! Xxx
