Hi , I feel like I live on here at the moment! I had my surgery yesterday and the doc told me these 3 things which I’m not sure weather I’ve been told the right after care, I know each patient is different but I can’t help but wonder why most girls have had different after care
Firstly the have put tape across my boobs but only along the top and bottom and my nipple area is bulding out, I’m concerned that’s going to make dents in the implant?!
Secondly they told me to take the strapping off the day after surgery but I’m not seeing anyone else has had to do that?
And I wasn’t given anti biotics at all just co codimal but he did say I don’t need them?

Maybe I’m just being fussy and panicking but it would make me feel better if anyone was told the same? I know they treat everyone different and surely they know what they are doing but I will be really furious if anything bad happens because they havnt advised the right aftercare

I have seen a few different types of strapping on here like the one your describing so i wouldnt worry ablut it denting anything.
If you ring the ward that discharged you they will have the surgeons notes to double check the after care advice 🙂 x

Im the same though ! And on the day everythings so over welming you forget or doubt half of what your told lol xxz

Hi Hun I’ve see people with strapping like yours on here so I wouldn’t worry to much there has also been a couple of girls who have been told to take there strapping off the day after also with the antibiotics some people don’t get any to take home as they have them in a drip while under and coming round Hun xxx

@rebecca who was your surgeon Hun? My strapping is the same where my nipples are out but I was told to leave it on and the nurse would remove it at the 1 week post op, I was given antibiotics to take for a week post op and also given co-hydromal for the pain relief so I agree with Kirsty maybe just give Mya a call and double check you to remove strapping yourself and also that they don’t need you to have antibiotics x

I had that strapping on for a week with my nipples out and it hasn’t dented my implants 🙂 xxx

Hey jade I had Dr Giannis, I had high profile overs so not sure if that makes a difference with the strapping although I have already taken it off now and the pain has gone down so I’m glad I did. My partner was with me and they told him the same advice too so I’l just see how I get on. I see the nurse in 8 days to get the stitches looked at so hopefully she can re assure me xxx

Ah well there u go then if that’s what they told u and it helped then it’s all good! Can’t wait to get my strapping off tomorrow although the week has gone so fast! I had 375 mod+ overs x

I didn’t have any strapping and didn’t have antibiotics either. Everyone is different Hun I wouldn’t worry x

Hi Rebecca I took my strapping off today, he told me that they gave me antibiotics in surgery so I don’t need anymore xx

Isn’t it funny how every surgeon does things differently aslong as we all end up with amazing boobs that’s all that matters! X

Everyone surely is different! I had to take antibiotics every 12 hours for the first 10 days then i was prescribed a pill a day of a sulpha medication which is considered some sort of antibiotic for 2 months after the operation. Every surgeon is different

Hi I had mr giannas and the same strapping I took mine off the following morning after op x
