I’m having a problem with my right breast and it’s just getting worse and worse. My implants are just over three years old and I’m wishing I’d not bothered now. I’ve lived in very supportive sports bras day and night since my surgery and it’s not prevented whatever the hell is going on with my right side.
I’ve been to see the nurse about it but because I was still breastfeeding they couldn’t really suggest anything. She said it’s probably not as bad as I think.
I need to go see my surgeon but I live in Leicester and need to go to Leeds on a weekday which is damn near impossible because of my baby.
I can’t stand the sight of my right breast. It’s like I have no more breast tissue, the skin is sagging and the implant is sitting much higher than the other one.
I have to shower with my sports bra on because looking at myself naked gives me horrible anxiety and ruins my day.
Tell me that’s doesn’t look awful. I don’t know what to do!
Its hard to say without seeing both your breasts together. Its a very close up photo

Hi Kim, really sorry your going through this, it’s a little similar to mine (but hard to tell from the angle of your pic) and it has depleted my confidence also, im not sure what you would be covered for after 3 years but im only 1 year and MYA wont revise, i guess it depends on what surgeon you had though, mine wont see me again until ive been to cheshire for a second opinion but im in newcastle and like youself the travelling is an issue with little people at home, could you maybe ask if your surgeon would accept an image via email and take it from there?
I think you probably feel it looks alot worse than it does, that’s possibly the case with me too but when it’s your body it’s on your mind all the time, i think my old boobs were hideous but they were free and didn’t put me through any pain so it feels way worse when you have spent thousands and went through a recovery to come out the otherside worse off, try not to let it bring you down especialy with a baby to care for, breastfeeding can alter your breast shape with or without implants so i guess its also a case of seeking advice on weather or not that could have caused it, could you not maybe visit a clinic that consult on a weekend? (From your post it seems you might have childcare easier on a weekend)
Mine looks like my tissue has slid down off the implant as you can see it like a lump from the angle you took it from, good luck i hope you can arrange to see somebody soon so at least you have some answers and can decide how to move forwards xxx
Hi Hun, my right breast started like that and I now have grade 3 capsular contracture. I’d definitely get in to see your surgeon.. are you still covered for cc? X
Thanks for your replies ladies. It feels much better to know I’m not entirely alone. I also had a call from a really nice patient coordinator from mya who made me feel loads better. She discussed options i had for getting things checked out when I’m completely done breastfeeding and what to do if I can’t wait.
Sorry the picture is so rubbish. I had to crop it loads to get it down to the right size. I’ll try and get some better pictures later on.
I realise breastfeeding will cause breasts to change but this was an issue before pregnancy and now it’s much much worse. I think some of it may be down to feeding but the fact that the implant sits so high just makes me feel awkward and ugly, if it would just drop down to the same level as the other or I think I’d feel better about it all.
