Hi Ladies I thought I would write my experience on here as i found it so helpful leading up to my surgery.
My surgery was on the 8th March with Dr Mounir i had 325cc unders.
I had my 1st consultation with Mounir i thought he was very straight to the point and quite rushed i sort of left a bit baffled but thought he clearly knew what he was on about.
I had my surgery at Preston hospital and i cant fault the people there everyone was lovely and nothing was too much trouble, I had my own room with TV. My mum came with me and she ordered food from the visitors menu at an additional cost. She was able to wait in my room whilst I was in theater.
My recovery has been ok, I certainly haven’t had it as bad as some of the other stories I have heard, I haven’t been in pain just discomfort from feeling tight and heavy on the chest, I had my mum look after me for the recovery which was really helpful i would say get someone who you can rely on to help you for the 1st couple of weeks and do’t do anything just focus on recovering. Sleeping has been the hardest thing for me, sleeping on my back and not being able to get comfy has kept me up a lot of the night. I have had no bruising or problems with my incisions.
I did quite a lot of preparation to try and make the operation go as smooth as possible.
1. I used bio oil and coco butter for 3 weeks before my op to try and prepare my skin
2. Arnica tablets 1 week before
3. I had 4 post op bra’s – Macom, M&S and 2 Mya ones – I highly reccomend the Mya bra’s there so comfy.
4. V shaped pillow & Wedge pillow to help sleep at the correct 45 degree angle
5. Scar cream to use after 6 weeks
6. I researched recovery foods and had some delivered to home the day after op.
If you have any other questions feel free to ask 🙂 x
