Hi girls. Had my op yesterday I am now over 24 hours post op and I’m struggling with pain! I usually don’t feel pain easily but find I’m in a lot of pain and pain killers aren’t helping ???? can anyone advise me on how long the initial pain from the op lasts?
Oh I feel your pain the first 3 days for me were awful!! I couldn’t cope I called my doc and asked for some oralmorph I managed to get some and took that for 2 days to ease the pain a little as nothing else was cutting it !! I can’t suggest anything else I hope it eases soon xx
Straight after the op up until day 3 I struggled with pain too, I phoned my dr and got some tramadol. From day 4 onwards I was much better and didn’t need the tramadol, and only took the cocodamol to help me sleep. Hope you eat some relief xxx
@stacey @gemmab thank you girls! I don’t want to take stronger pain killers if I really dont have too so I’m hoping my tomorrow (day 3) the pain will start to ease! Thank you for the advise xxx
Did you have unders? I had unders 11 days ago and I remember well how painful those first few days were….I was surprised how sore I was I thought I had a high pain threshold!
I found iapplyung ice packs for 20 minutes every few hours really helped and made them feel a lot better. Also taking arnica for the bruising and swelling seemed to really help. Just hang in there and remember that honestly every day gets a little better xx
