Hi girls, so I’m actually not having surgery with MYA, but these forums have appeared super helpful. So I have a BA booked next month in Belgium which means my consultation is the day prior, so does anyone have any advice on buying post op bras if you don’t know what size it’s gonna be?
    Thanks!

Hiya, I ordered a Macom bra and it arrived today. They were the ones I was recommended by others on here. They just come in xs, s, m, l.. xs is for back size 28-30 so I got that but it isn’t done by cup size which is useful. Otherwise I’ve heard Asda’s are really good too. xx

I would definitely recommend the Macom Bras. You just need to buy a size up from your normal bra size. I normally where a 34, so I got a size L (36) in a Macom bra.

It’s not that expensive, I bought mine for like £37 and that includes shipping + discount code.

I also bought 2 M&S post op bra’s, I was advised to buy two cup sizes up from what I normally am. I got a C and a D. Luckily I got the Macom bra! Because I can’t zip up M&S bra. The D cup size fits my boobs but doesn’t on my back so I might exchange one for a 38D.

When my Macom bra arrived, I thought the material looked cheap, it is much thinner than the picture makes it out to be. But I’m so glad I bought it, it’s great because it moulds to the whatever size you are. The adjustable straps come in handy.

When the nurses put on my bra after surgery, it was pretty easy to slip on. But I know if I used my M&S bra they wouldn’t be able to.

    I hope that helps 🙂

Thankyou! Would a front zipping/doing up bra be beneficial? I’m at a 24c at the moment and hoping for a 34dd so I’m guessing I’ll need a large for everything? Xx

No worries 🙂 The Macom bras are non-zip and have hooks which are easy to do up. But the nurse should help you with that when first putting it on. Yeah, if you’re a 34C you would need a size Large for the Macom bra
