I flew over to London on Monday morning had my surgery that afternoon, stayed overnight in a hotel and flew back Tuesday. Just bring a change of clothes, underwear, make sure everything you wear is nice and comfortable, bring a sports bra, some slippers and make sure whatever you’re wearing after your surgery has a zip down the front because you literally won’t be able to lift your arms. Flying wasn’t too bad I slept the whole time there and back. It was just having to travel on the trains/tubes that was the worst because my surgery was in London and the hospital was quite a bit away from the airport. They should provide you with painkillers so the pain shouldn’t be that bad. Just prepare yourself to feel sore because I definitely underestimated the pain. Also sleeping that first night after your surgery will be extremely difficult especially if you’re in a hotel, make sure you ask for extra pillows to prop yourself up! Overall it was a pleasant experience because the excitement of getting it done will override anything else!
