Hi Iv just received a letter from my doctors saying they have had a request from MYA about information on when I suffered with depression. Has anyone else had this? And what are the chances of MYA cancelling my surgery because of having depression? Doesn’t really seem fair when my boobs were part of why I felt the way I did in the first place. Thankyou

Aww babe try not to worry too much … I have a bipolar tag on my medical bits even tho I’ve had no issues for years & don’t taken any medication. Mya requested a medical report from me with one week left before surgery & although I knew I was fine I did panic a bit

Hi pls don’t worry. I started antidepressants the day before my first consultation last October and I was dismissed straight away and was told he will only see me if I’ve been on the meds at the same dosage for 6 months. So fast forward to March and I went back and I went to see a different surgeon too (Mr Netri) just at this point I went up in my dosage and was told even though I’m on the same meds I would have to wait 3 months until I was able to have surgery. I had to get a doctors medical summary which cost me £30 although it varies depending on your docs. Anyway once MYA received that they further requested a covering note from my doctor to say I was mentally stable and that there have been no issues etc etc etc
Anyway I had my op 9 days ago so don’t worry about it. Xx

    Hey,

I’ve just been invoiced for my medical records £40. Did your doctors inform you of the charges they apply? With the new GDPR most places shouldn’t charge now however my doctors have … Without informing me of this before. Any help would be greatly appreciated??

    Thanks xx

Hey I suffer from a mild form of schizophrenia and MYA done the exact same thing regarding a medical letter from my GP. Tbh I had a hard time at first because my sugeron was concered about my symtoms but since I haven’t been to any counciling or taken medication in 2 years she decided to go ahead. I’m due to have my surgery on Monday, but regarding the gp letter you would get charged for it because its considered private healthcare.
