I am planning on having my surgery early next year and am trying to plan what to buy to make recovery easier eg, macom bras, pillows for sleeping etc…

Can anyone write a list out for me of what helped them? Have no idea what I would need.

Hi! I’ve listed everything below that I bought / noted down to buy just incase after the op too:
    • Zip Hoodies (easy to get on and off)
    • Anti-bacterial gel – sanex 0% – I used this the night before, the day of and continued using this (whilst I still couldn’t shower properly) on my bits and pits!
    • Arnica Cream – Boots (cooling gel – help with bruises and swelling – I didn’t need this in the end anyway!)
    • Roll on Deodorant – saves you lifting your arms afterwards
    • Paracetamol
    • Ibuprofen
    • Dry Shampoo
    • Throat Sweets (anaesthetic can give you a sore throat however I was fine and didn’t need them)
    • Sick Bags (just incase but again I was fine and didn’t need them)
    • Femme fresh wipes (just to freshen up as it’s not great not showering properly!)
    • Vitamin C and multi vitamins (I took vitamin c booster tablets 2 weeks before just to ensure my immune system was up)
    • Gel ice packs (was only going to buy these afterwards if I needed them and I didn’t need them!)
    • Hot water bottle – I read some girls experience pain in their back so another just incase
    • Neck Pillow – life saver in hospital!
    • Bio Oil – I used this nightly on my boobs before for about a month to help with stretch marks and I plan on using it on my scars once I’ve been given the go ahead.
    • Post-surgery bra (Macom Signature – 1007 in nude and black) I was a 32b and you go by back size on the website and the bra moulds around your new assets and the S (for 32 back) was fine on me!
    • Straws – just for ease when drinking tipping glass/bottle up
    • V pillow – again, lifesaver! I bought mine from Asda for £10 and it came with 2 covers!

    Hope this helps xx
