Has anyone had this problem or currently going through this same thing as me?!!!
So basically, had a breast enlargements done back in June 2014, everything went well with the procedure (had Dr Fratti and had 450CC) all was fine until from March this year, my right breast is rock hard and hurts sometimes in places and cannot lay on it on my side!!!
So I’ve been back to the clinic to see the nurse, she had a feel and took pictures to forward to Dr Fratti, as she said that something didn’t seem right!
I get the call to see Dr Fratti (after 3 months of waiting) to see him and get things sorted!
Well this appointment was cancelled LAST MINUTE and I was so annoyed!
Get a call later that day stating ANOTHER APPOINTMENT will be made for me to see Dr Fratti.
So another month or so goes by, in the mean time have called the clinic numerous times to see what’s going on, FINALLY get a call from the nurse stating I need an ultrasound scan done so when I see Dr Fratti, he can see exactly what is wrong!
BUT MYA don’t cover having the ultrasound in the aftercare!!!! Really?! Why?!
I have to get one via my GP on the NHS… so try getting one but nope can’t get one as MYA is a private clinic!
So Next resort is going somewhere else private that DOES do ultrasounds but I’m having to pay out for this!!!
As you can gather I’m not having a great luck with this but has anyone had this problem too or is my clinic im with (London) having me on and they can do this for me?!
PLEASE someone give me an answer or advice to what I can do!
I just would like my problem resolved!!
Hiya Stacie.
I am currently having the same problem. I have been having pains in my boobs for some time now and tenderness down the outsides of my boobs. I have contacted my clinic and the surgeon I used no longer operates under MYA. They have told me to get an ultrasound as the surgeon won’t be able to see whats going on from the outside without one. I went to see my GP and they said this isn’t something they can do through the NHS. Im shocked that I’m going to have to pay over £300 for a private ultrasound when I am In pain.

Hey ladies,
I am in the same boat, 6 years post op, found a lump on my right boob, luckily have private health care so I had an ultrasound yesterday only to be told that the lump is nothing to worry about but they think my left implant has ruptured. The dr said I need to have an MRI to be certain, but really concerned about MYA aftercare as they no longer use the natrelle implants that I have and have a feeling I’ll have to pay for the op again?
My surgeon was also Dr Fratti.
Have you got any further with getting things sorted? I don’t even know where to start!!
Xxx
Hi can anyone help me, I’m having pains with my implant it totally doesn’t feel right I’m almost certain it’s ruptured but Mya are not helping at all, I feel like I’m not getting any advice apart from speak to my surgeon for a scan and he said nhs probably won’t do it and to take ibuprofen for 3 days and see if it goes away. My op was 6 years ago, natrelle implants and with Dr Kazzazi who doesn’t work with Mya anymore, I feel like Mya are not interested at all. Am I going to have to pay for a scan possibly another op? Any advice or help is greatly appreciated! Xx
Stacie hello I’ve not even had my consultation yet but one of my questions to MYA will be ‘if anything goes wrong will you replace the implants/ redo surgery free of charge’ by what you said I’m assuming the answer is yes but do you know how long after surgery this would apply to? Xxx glad you are now sorted xx
Hi Jessica!
How ever long the aftercare is and what is the actual issue with regards to after surgery or the implants depends really!
So when I had my first BA, aftercare was 5 years so I’m just passed that now but I’ve just had revision surgery as I had a issue (states in my original post) and I reported this b4 my after care expired, so I was in entitled to the revision surgery to make things right! But I think now the policy after care is now only 3 years!
But yes!… ask all question and cover everything you need to know so your happy with what your having done before having it! 🙂
