On the 30th Aug I had some private surgery something I wanted for many years now.
The operation went well and I was healing up nicely and loved the outcome.
Before returning to work myself and my husband had a little break away in Barcelona 3 nights.
When returning back to England on the 19th sept I fell down some stairs in the transfer coach to the Barcelona airport, braking my ankle and rupturing my major ligaments in my ankle.
An ambulance was called and I had to be lifted into and out of the plane with a cherry picker lol soooo embarrassing with everyone watching.
I got to meet both pilot’s and have a chat and a giggle little did I know my previous surgery incisions had split open during the full down the stairs in the coach.
Once we where back in England we travelled to a&e as requested by the spanish paramedics xrays done and and a boot put on still not knowing my incisions where open.
Once home that’s when I noticed I was wet from my incisions hubby cleaned me up and put a dressing on till the morning as we where so tired now being 5 in the morning.
Once we was awake the following day I received a call asking me to go back to a&e as there was a problem?
They had decided to put a cast on my foot as the boot wouldn’t be enough support for my injury whilst casting the nurse had a look at my incisions and yes they was open the doctor was called in to the room and dicided to leave them open but with plenty of dressings.
Every second day I was up and down to my GP to have my dressings cleaned and changed swabs taken.
A week later I go to the feature clinic to be told I will have to wear a brace and boot for 6 to 9 months as my ligaments are f**ked and may need an operation.
With my dressings being changed every other day I started to notice some swelling and found the pain getting worse so the doctor was called into the nurses station to have a look, with a worried look on his face he prescribed me some antibiotics.
Feeling concerned I called mya to arrange an appointment for my nurse and surgeon to have a look.
Early hours of the following morning I was woken by a sudden gush of fluid coming from my incisions site and continued to gush all day.
I got to the mya clinic in Nottingham that evening checked over and the surgeon wanted me in theatre that evening.
There was no surgeon available to do surgery till the following morning.
At 4am with only a few hours sleep me and hubby drove to preston for surgery.
When I woke I was in a lot of pain and part of my new addition was missing which completely broke me.
The surgery went well but due to the recent fall in Barcelona I had dislodged one of my new additions and caused an serious infection and seroma which was very dangerous.
I now have to take it very easy and heal up so I can have my new addition put back in.
Surgeon as said it will take up to 3 months for me to heal up enough for surgery again, with continued medication and jabs in my tummy.
People ask me do I regret ever having the surgery done in the first place.
No not at all I loved the results I regret going to Barcelona.
When I’m healed I will have surgery again to complete what was ment to be but until then it’s going to be hard.
If you are a women then you will understand how I feel at the moment feeling only half a women, but there are people with harder choices to make in there own life I just feel grateful it was found sooner rather than later.

Breast forms
Thanks, I’ll try and be patient. I also need to chill out.
You’re so brave, it sounds like you’re doing so well. Good ol’ M&S! The breast forms look like a great help.
I got my post op bras from M&S too x
So on the 4th I had to have emergency surgery to take out my right implant resulting to pseudomonas (aggressive infection) So now I’m back to square one with no implants. Totally devastated as with my skin stretched from the implants my now boobs are even small from before I had them put in. I feel lost and really emotional. I’m still in hospital it’s been 6 days so far as I have to be on a drip for the antibiotics and have no clues to when I can go home. I’m 3 and 1/2 hours from home and feel sooo isolated.
But it hasn’t put me off once I’m well again will have them put back in if I hadn’t of had the full I wouldn’t be in this situation so please girls be very careful and if you notice something that doesn’t feel or look right please get checked by your surgeon asap.
