Surgery in 13 days what to take? Started by: Gemma

Good luck for 21st! If you are a day case you probably won’t really need a lot – your post surgery bra of course, some loose fitting trousers, a button or zip front top to change into after to go home in, some books / magazines / headphones for while you wait to go into theatre, perhaps some throat sweets in case you feel a bit scratchy when you wake up. I also had my surgery in Preston and the day went like a dream from start to finish! I was in and out very quickly and the staff were all absolutely lovely.

Yes, I stayed at the Ibis the night before which was really convenient and very close by, there is a pub next door that does really good food as well!

My surgery was on the Monday and I got my admission time on the Friday. Sometimes it can be 48 hours before. Everyone’s admission time is different, so you could be asked to turn up at any time from 8am – 2pm. I wanted an early admission and I got 8am, and I was first on the list for surgery that day so I wasn’t waiting around at all to go into theatre.

I am so pleased with my results! They are just beginning to drop now and honestly they are an absolute dream, keep feeling like I need to pinch myself as I can’t believe they’re really mine. My boobs were awful before, so ugly, the relief I feel now is immense!

I’m sure you will be! Yes I would definitely recommend the Ibis it’s so cheap and so close by, just what you need to settle after your op.
