I’m 2wpo now and my swelling seems to be going down as my bra feels more comfy. I wear the Macom Bra on the loosest hook but was wondering if I can make it tighter now. I don’t want to squeeze my boobs and cause any displacement but also want to provide them a good support .
When did you girls tighten or change your bras?
Xx
Hey Monica, 2wpo already where does the time go.. I made my Macom bra tighter as soon as swelling had gone down, I didn’t feel quite as supported as I did, tightening it made a difference for me. I have a couple of m&s post op bra’s too and actually find these give me a little more support and are super comfy. How’s your recovery now at 2weeks? xxx
I know Ruth, time flies incredibly fast!
Oh thank you, I was afraid to go tighter and never asked my nurse abt it. But it would make sense as now I can feel like everything stays in place ?
I’m doing well thank you but still getting sharp pain from time to time. Waiting for my lazy left breast to catch the right one ?
How are you feeling? It’s nearly 1mpo for you, isn’t it? Such craziness ?
Xx
Time goes stupidly fast. Glad they feel more supported again now youve made it a little tighter. I have a lazy left too, I thought because it’s my dominant side that may be why? 4wpo Wednesday, crazyyyyy I’m doing really well thank you, get the odd twinge every so often but nerves still waking up so to be expected, I’m looking forward to getting measured in 2 weeks and looking for pretty bras ? are you back in work? Was your boss understanding with you not being able to do moping etc? xx
Hi girls. Let me know regarding how tight the bra should be? My maco, didn’t feel supportive at all so I sent it back. I now have a yianna one and feels a lot better. Also what did you girls tell work? I’ve just started a new job and don’t really want them to know but I travel a lot with my job so I’m a bit worried x
I’ve ditched my Macom now it digs in and rides up, but I bought another compression one. I have it so it’s just providing enough support not too tight and not slack. I have a really supportive boss so I told her what procedure I was having, but work colleagues I told I was having a minor non urgent surgical procedure. When are you having your surgery Daniella? xx
Ah. My manager is Male so I don’t feel as comfortable having the conversation with him. However due to the travel etc I might have to explain at some point 🙁 I’m having surgery on 31st XX
It gives me a better support now when tighter a bit. Told my partner about it and he was like – So that means your boobs shrinks? I thought you went sizes up ??
Oh if you’re still getting such pain, I’m not going to bother thinking if everything is going into right direction with me cuz apparently it is ? Ahh I’m so excited for you, so soon to all the measurements and shopping madness.
Yes, we agreed that for the first weeks I’m going to have someone with me, trainees mostly so I’ll focus only on the till and computer stuff. He was really great and understanding. I’m due to be back to work this Saturday.
Danielle it’s better to be honest with your boss so you can get help you need but as Ruth said, you don’t need to inform your colleagues . My manager unfortunately said everything to girls working with me but you can always ask for not mentioning your reasons.
Which other than Macom bras would you recommend girls? X
I don’t think I’d have been comfortable telling a male boss. Have you booked time off after surgery? How exciting not too long now until your day, I loved the whole build up to surgery xx
Danielle, my manager is male too. I mean before my surgery there was still a female one who I spoke to but during my holiday there’s been a transition and I had to speak with him now regarding my work limitation etc. But it wasn’t as bad as I supposed it could be. Just mention the minor surgery if you don’t want to go into the details.
And fingers crossed for your op xx
Monica that’s just really made me laugh, men hey they’ve absolutely no clue have they ? only every now and then I get a twinge but nerves can take months to settle back down again. I’m so glad everything is going in the right direction for you. Im looking forward to getting back in the gym didn’t think I’d miss running so much. Bit of a bummer your boss told your colleagues but glad they sorted your duties for you. I bought a lipoelastic compression bra find it’s very comfy hooks at the front but the straps have hooks too and I have a couple of m&s post surgery ones I find them really comfy too xx
I know haha. They just record a ‘boob job’ in their mind and that’s it ?
Oh I know what you mean! Sitting home didn’t help me as I’ve always been an active person. So I miss the gym and being on my feet all day…
I’ll try to get sth extra to try and see the difference, thanks for the suggestion ?
Instead of squishing I want them to expand ?
Xx
I keep getting let’s see your boobs then, bit of a treat for my other half in all the years together I never felt comfortable without a bra in front of him. It’s crazy how much new boobs can improve confidence. I’m the same hate sitting still like to be doing something. Hope your recovery continues to go smoothly would love to see pictures of your progress if you have any xx
Ruth and monica i am loving reading about your recovery and experience i carnt wait now roll on feb 15th. Can i ask you both have you got back nipple sensations? Xx
Hiya Sarah, exciting that your surgery isn’t too far away how are you feeling about it? I haven’t got full sensation in either of mine yet, it’s slowly come back a little over the weeks xx
I just want it to be here lol counting down the days Ruth and ok thankyou xx
Hiya Ruth and Monica, Just wondering I’m 1wpo and was doing well couple days ago but then today I’ve been doing housework and looking after baby and in loads of pain again tonight I thought I was over the worse – but reading your posts I’ve got a while for the pain to go? Can I ask do your breast feel warm to touch? Mine do and just wondering if this is normal as they are constantly in my bra or not? X
Hi Gemma! I’m 1wpo tomorrow and my boobs have been feeling really warm too, and they’re always in the bra. Hoping it’s normal. Seeing the nurse tomorrow for my check in so will ask her!
Hi Gemma, oh no sorry to hear your in pain do you think maybe you’ve overdone it slightly with the housework which has elevated pain again? I can’t say I’ve got pain as I never really experienced much pain I have a really high pain threshold, it’s just twinges every so often, all to do with the nerves. I can’t say I’ve noticed mine being warm to touch, could be because of the compression bra though being well fitted and because of swelling. Definitely worth ringing your nurse though or mentioning it during post op check put your mind at ease if nothing else xx
I’ll take some new photos and try to post tomorrow Ruth ? I really love my boobs and can’t wait to see the final result ☺️
But you are absolutely right abt the confidence! I wouldn’t sit in front of my second half without a bra ?Now I don’t need clothes on ?
Hi Sarah ? oh it’s not long left to go. You must be so excited!
I haven’t got my sensation back yet, a little bit in my right one but stubborn left remains stubborn with everything ?
Hi Gemma and Sophie HB.
Oh believe me, I thought my pain was gone for good yesterday before I was back to college.. Apparently all day at school is a bit too much and I’m back with a weird pain again. Today going there by bus I had to stand as there was so many people and I overstretched my arm when had to hold the rail on the bends.
Your body is still weak and wounds are fresh that’s why you feel the pain after doing some activities.
My boobs are I would say just the normal body temperature all the time and always in my bra apart from the shower time xx
Bet there’s a huge change in yours since your last photo at 7dpo so glad you love them ? I’m the exact same never before would I have been without a bra in front of him now I’m not fussed that he sees them. I’m gutted to read you have weird pain back after college, I hope it settles down quick ? xx
Thank you Ruth? it should be fine tomorrow. I just need to remember that I had the operation 2 weeks ago and can’t be as active as I used to be. But I would love to do everything at the same time ?
Did you post your photo anywhere here?
Xx
I hope it’s easier than today, still very early on in regards to our bodies settling after ‘trauma isn’t it. I have to remind myself don’t do that or don’t stretch that high, I’ll upload one from 2 and 3wpo I’ve posted it somewhere but there’s so many threads ? xx
Oh yes, I’ve seen your photos thank you ?
You look very good Ruth, can imagine how nice you would look in a nice sexy bra??
I had a great night, have to admit, never even moved probably thanks to Ibuprofen I had to take. But still have that weird numbing pain, now spreading to my back but I hope it should ease soon.
Xx
Thank you, I’m pleased with them anything was better than the little spaceships I had before though ? glad you had a great night, are you struggling to sleep? xx
Haha, little spaceships – I like it ?
Well, last days I was really struggling. Don’t know why, just couldn’t sleep though was not sore and comfy.
Was going to ask. When I touch the bottom of my boobs I feel like an empty soft space down there. Do you have the same? X
That’s really pants if your not able to sleep going to have a knock on effect on everything isnt it. On my left I have, the right did have space but as the implant is dropping its filled into the space. Implant meets the crease on the right now if that makes sense? x
I was so lazy and could sleep whenever I wanted during the day for the first two weeks after my op – blessed time. But now I’m constantly tired and don’t get enough sleep, that’s terrible.
Oh well, it makes sense but also means I still have long to go as my left boob is high and plenty of room down there. Such slow process ?? xx
Ruth, just added photos to my older post from 13th Jan xx
Morning ladies thanks for all your replies!
I’ve got my post op today so will ask about the warm feeling, there not overly hot just hotter than normal and you know what we’re like read into everything as read can be a sign of an infection! But sure nurse will let me know!
Where did you have yours done Sophie? I’m going notts tomorrow for my post op!
Ruth yeah I reckon I did overdo it a bit – you think your fine and don’t realise how much you actually use the muscles….so taking it a bit easier today.
Monica looking forward to seeing your new boobs! I’m soo excited and impatient just want mine to hurry up and drop and fluff lol
Ruth yours look soo good – are you pleased with them?
Your nurse will have a good look and let you know what’s what, hope your appointment all goes smoothly. Definitely think oh I’m ok today and crack on with things then it hits you later on the pain kicks in. Thank you Gemma, I’m super pleased with mine 🙂 still got some dropping to do and the left needs to play catch up xx
