Totally with you!! My whole body is aching from sleeping upright but I’m scared to start sleeping flat as I’m scared my boobs will just start falling to the sides ha, I’ve heard people saying one week, two weeks or even three weeks. I’ve got my check up tomorrow so I’m going to ask my surgeon what he thinks is best and I’ll let you know x

I’ve been sliding down the bed during the night and struggling to get myself up in the morning ? found sleeping with a big pillow under my knees has helped me stay upright more! I can’t wait for a good nights sleep!! X

Me too! Does anyone know how long it’s advised to sleep upright? X

My nurse advised me to sleep upright for 3 weeks then to slowly start taking away a pillow at a time! I’m 17 days post op and have been sleeping a lot lower since 2 weeks post op as my boobs go nowhere with my macom on and like you ladies I just couldn’t do it anymore but I have found I tend to roll onto my side though so just be careful of that if you do sleep lower! X

I had my 1 week follow up appointment today and I’ve been told I don’t need to sleep upright anymore and should be able to lie flatter on my back or propped up on my side. This being said, knowing that other people are being advised 3 weeks makes me nervous about stopping! x

I carried on sleeping upright until 7 weeks post op because I am the most nervous person ever! I also got quite used to it, too! Tonight will be only my third night lying flat on my back!

I’m 31 days post op now and only this week have I begun sleeping normal(ish), I can lie on my side for a short period and I’m not as uncomfortable anymore. I slept up at an angle for a few days but I kept waking up on my back, no matter how many pillows and cushions I used, so eventually I just gave up and went to sleep lying down (on two pillows as I do usually). I did keep a pillow in between my partner and I though, one to stop me from trying to roll over while asleep and two, I was really nervous about my OH knocking in to me. I only stopped using that pillow recently!
