I know this sounds stupid but what are you using when you first start showering after your dressings are removed? Antibacterial soap? I don’t want to use anything that’s perfumed which could affect my wounds. I’m so nervous about doing anything wrong x
I am showering as normal with shower gel but avoiding underneath my breast just letting the water run over them & then using antiseptic wipes in morning & evening on the wounds x
Thanks Charlotte. I’ve still got pink tape covering my incision sites at the moment so I have to take this off before showering and put more on afterwards. It’s pulling this tape off I’m worried about ha x
I’ve been using the Sanex Zero % shower gels since 2 weeks post op. I didn’t directly wash my incisions before all the scabs had disappeared, just let the water and shower gel rinse over them. But since my incisions are now completely sealed and smooth, I’ve felt fine to wash them as normal.
