My surgery day is just 7 days away eeek, anyone else booked for the same day at London Fitzroy? My admission time is 7:30am and the nerves are starting to set in I think ?
I’m super excited for you! I am not booked in for the same day, I need to wait 23 more days but it is at the London Fitzroy. What have you chosen to have done and by who?
Ah bless you Thankyou, same goes! And yeah it is, I’m having 350cc unders hun and Dr Mashadi is my surgeon, how about you?x
I’m there on the 10th. 9am abc overnight stay ?. Starting to flip between excited and “OMG am I doing the right thing” x
I’m having 400cc Partials (Sub fascia) with Dr Mashhadi 🙂 xx
I’m sure we’ll all be happy, I think we’d be pretty illogical to not have some kind of cautious thoughts because it is surgery and it is general anaesthetic – both come with inherent risks, but then so does me walking home from the gym at night or getting takeaway from the new place! We’ll be fine.
I believe there is at least one person in that operating theatre solely to make sure our vital signs are fine. The worst that will happen is we wake up with no boobs! Or maybe they had to pump up the oxygen a bit because we’re getting a cold we didn’t know about. A very happy medium to what drama TV shows would have us all believe.
Most people seem to describe it as quick, some have even said they didn’t know the op had happened and they thought they were still going into surgery.
Did you know fear and excitement are pretty much the same sensation? Its just how we interpret that sensation in our minds that can make all the difference. For me, when nerves set in I go through what I learned as a nurse and then think about MYAs track record, how often it is done and most importantly my surgeon – all good and logical statistics. It invokes a sense of trust. I then think about my new boobs and the second wardrobe I’ll need to buy because I’ll have more underwear and bikini’s than actual clothes! And thaat makes me happy.
Nerves are logical and sensible, but don’t let them bog you down xx
I feel exactly the same! How prepared are you at the mo? I’m also a little anxious because I’ve been having second thoughts about my implant size but Dr Mashhadi isn’t back at the Birmingham clinic now until after my op day ??♀️ Guess I’ll just hope and prey I am happy with them lol xx
I am pretty prepared, I have the hotel booked, my pillows sorted, work booked off. I am planning on getting looser clothes to dress in like some hoodies and tracksuit bottoms.
I did think about getting bigger than 400cc but I am loosing fat and weight lifting so my body will change a lot so I decided to stick with 400cc so I wouldn’t look too odd from the side.
You don’t need to hope and pray (I imagine). Call your clinic, ask to try on the implants again, try a few different sizes and if you decide on a different one, ask your patient co-ordinator if the surgeon would be happy to give you that size or if not, what your limit size is. They can talk to Dr Mashhadi remotely on your behalf and they should still have your measurements from your consultation on file somewhere xx
love this reply – i am also nerves and excited and fed up of waiting and also appreciating small things like laying on my front lol – my op is 9th march at fitzroy i am also having 375/ or hopefully 400s 😉 exciting times
