Is there more of a chance of the procedure going wrong if I have sensitive skin Started by: Lily

I sometimes have sensitive skin, so when using certain skin care products/ makeup, I come up in a rash. I think it’s my body rejecting them. It doesn’t happen with all products/makeup. I really want to get my boobs done but I’m concerned I’ll have more of a chance of my body rejecting the implants.
Has anyone else had sensitive skin in general before and gone ahead with the surgery and been okay?

I have very sensitive skin, very pale and I’m allergic to most creams etc. I also rejected ear piercings as a child ? However, I’m 2 weeks post op and touch wood, I’ve had no problems. You are given antibiotics and the implants themselves are sterile so although it can happen, it’s very rare. I wouldn’t worry about it but by all means talk it over with your surgeon. He/she will be able to advise you properly and put your mind at ease. Good luck with everything xx
