I had surgery a week ago and i am happy to go back to work, but my job is very heavy manual handling and climbing ladders which obviously i can not do yet! So i have requested a ‘light duties’ note from my GP so i can work in the office for a few weeks. Rang my GP this morning and the lady was like we do not supply them you have to speak to whoever you had your surgery with…. MYA obviously do not supply these either…. where the hell do i get a ‘light duties’ note from?! Freaking out as i have told my employer i have had surgery, thats it. I really do not want to go back to him and say ‘actually its cosmetic and i cant get a light duties note sorry’ as i may get the sack!! I also had the surgery because i had 1 tubular breast that was 3 sizes bigger than my other breast so i technically had a deformity if that helps my case (not that i want to tell my male boss that) please can anyone help that managed to get a sick not/light duties note. Thank you!
Hi there, my surgeon gave me a sick note for 4 weeks, it just said ‘post surgery’ on it no other details were given. I did not have my surgery with mya but I’m sure all surgeons are similar. Had 6 weeks off in total the final two weeks were a fit note from my gp, again just stated post surgery.
I had uplift and implants and fat transfer
