Swimming after surgery? Started by: Naomi

    Me and my friends are looking at booking a private pool next week, I had surgery a week ago tomorrow and have my check up at the clinic. It’s for the social side more than actually swimming as I’m aware you shouldn’t excersize for 6 to 8 weeks after.. Does anyone know if just being in the water will affect my incisions? Or would it be advised against as it’s so soon after my surgery?

    I was told no swimming etc for at least 6 weeks.. the same with having baths that cover the incisions. Your allowed to get them slightly wet when you have a shower but you can’t submerse them in water. Xx
