    Hi Amy
I’m 7wpo and I stayed over in hospital, I wore elastic waisted joggers with a zip up top.
I purchased macom bras, m & s post surgery bras & the Asda post surgery bras.
My favourite was the macom then the m & s and the Asda ones didn’t really offer me enough support.
I hope this helps and good luck with your surgery.
    Xx

Ah thank you hun!! How are you feeling have you for your before and after pics?? How was your day in the hospital, how long where you in there from start to finish, what time did you have to arrive?

    So sorry a million questions!!

I have heard a few people saying that the macom bras weren’t very comfy, which style did you go for I’ve seen on their site they do a couple different ones.

    Xxx

    Hi Elizabeth,

Ah how exciting, how are ye oh feeling about it? Yea I’m thining I might just get a onsie or something that’ will keep me warm and cosy. I know its more like pajamas but I’m sure in this case it’s acceptable to wear in the day ??.

Are you over night in the hospital or are you staying 15 mins away sorry if I’m being stupid!

I’m getting so excited for mine! What post op bra have you got and how did you know what size to get xxx

I got m&s extra high impact sports bras, surgeon recommended.
She told me to go up a back size for help with swelling & up 3 cup sizes for implants over 300cc.

I’d recommend getting a few sizes close to surgery and your surgeon will fit the best one. You can then return the ones you dont use ?

(I also had Macom which a friend gave me but they weren’t as comfy for me & the asda 2 for £15 which are great for 4 weeks onwards, before then they arent supportive enough) ?

    Thanks Shannon ❤️

I have heard a few people say the macom ones arnt that comfy, are the M&S ones as good as macom for support? I suppose they must be if your surgeon recommended them

Does the surgeon fit then in surgery? This may sound like a silly question but after surgery can you take the supper off or do you have to keep it on for X amount of time. What about showering? Xxx

I came out of surgery with no bra and she came round to check on me before discharge and put the bra on then. Also applied the breast band for me too.

Each surgeon is different in terms of stitching which affected showering. I havent been able to shower above waist yet as i have steri strips over my incisions and I’m assuming dissolvable stitches.

Your post op info pack or surgeon should say when you can properly wash mine said 4 weeks and surgeon re-iterated that ?

I’ve had a bra on day and night for 4 weeks straight. I’ve taken it off for 10 mins here and there but only from week 3 onwards
Breast band was 2 weeks full time and then 2 weeks whilst sleeping only.

    Amy i feel physically sick!
Really getting scared the closer it gets.
The recovery and after pains is what is freaking me out. Also worried as I only have 12 days off work and my job involves a lot of walking around.
Im an overnight in the hospital but im only a 15 minute drive back home. X

    Hey Elizabeth,

I’m pretty nervous too for mine but it’s going to be so worth it to feel Confident in your own body!! I think the recovery is different for everyone, but I’m sure you will be OK with 15 days hun. Some people have said that they were fine after a day or so. I’ve heard it’s the worst in the 1st 3 days then gets a lot better.

Your going to be fine girl ❤️❤️❤️❤️

I have a WhatsApp group with 3 other girls who have there surgery between now and Feb, would you like me to add you so that you can message us all and we all can reassure each other and share recovery etc etc? Xx

Hi Amy, I’m booked as a day case on 16th December in London with Ms Lutz. I have the Macom Signature bras and find them really comfortable pre-op so hoping they will be comfortable after too. I also have an M&S granny bra that my surgeon prefers. I think I am just going to take joggers and a zip up hoody for after the op. I am staying in a local hotel the night before and for two nights after as I live about 2.5hrs away from London.

Hi Polly, the M&S bra is the Total Support Non Wired Full Cup Bra. Feel free to message me if you need pics or more info,
