Hey guys, is anyone else really struggling with aching and posture post op? I’ve had an uplift and 250/275cc implants. I’m only 3 days in but everything hurts! The antibiotics are also making me really sick (haven’t been able to keep them down today) is this normal? Also haven’t taken my bra or socks off since the op and I can’t bring myself to take the bra off because it would be too painful to put back on…. any advice? Should I call the nurse? I’m taking all the codeine and paracetamol they’ve given me every 4 hours but not sure if that’s what’s making me sick or what! Has anyone else felt like this post op? Just constantly aching and not being able to straighten my back without a tearing feeling. Thanks girls! X
hey Georgie
I’m 1 week post op today and the first 5 days were a struggle for me I was the same as you felt sick all the time but I only threw up on days 1 and 2 the rest of the days I was just eating light things what helped me to not feel sick with the antibiotics is me having a few bits of food then take the antibiotic then abit more food and it seemed to help the sickness
if your not able to keep anything down then ide tell the nurse
It is normal to feel and he sick in the first week though it’s all the meds and general anaesthetic that makes you feel like that
I’m only just getting my appetite back it’s not fully back to normal but it’s better then what it was at the start
The pain was bad for me aswell it’s eased up abit now it’s not as bad I’m keeping up with my pain killers top every 4 hours and it helps to take them on time
With the not wanting to take your bra off
I was like that but took deep breathes in and out while I put it back on and it seemed to help me
My back was so sore for days I called my nurse on like day 3 and told her and she said the reason I have more back pain then usual is it’s all about holding yourself correctly if your walking around stiff sitting stiff and just not relaxing then it’s going to hurt your back she told me to try and do shoulder and arm exercises in circular motion to relax the back muscles and it’s helped really well
I hope your feeling better soon it will get easier I was told this at the start and it’s true ☺️xx
@Georgie, that’s a shame you are struggling so much. I have no experience with hiw different it will feel with the uplift as well but it defo helps to get up and move about,, take some big deep breaths, take the bra off for a couple minutes every now and again. I also felt it helpful to use a hot water bottle at my back.
I never had to take any antibiotics but the codeine is probably also playing havoc with ur stomach.
I hope you feel better soon.
Thank you so much for reassuring me about feeling sick I must just had an awful reaction to the anaesthetic, I wake up feeling sick as well not just around food I hope that’s normal too. I’ll try and take my bra off fully today😬 wish me luck! Thank you both again xxxxxx
hey Georgie
yeah it’s normal to feel sick don’t worry I was like that and only getting back to normal now and no sickness I’m 8 days post op today it will subside if it doesn’t subside in a week them ide tell your nurse you still feel sick
I would be sick and feel sick every time I smelt food or even looked at food for the first 5 days even my husbands after shave ide feel sick over even though i like the smell of it lol it was awful felt like the longest 5 days of my life 😁
good luck with taking your bra off honestly once I took mine off to change into another I felt instant relief because my macom bra is quite snug and has alot of support so because they are being held in place with the bra is what makes them hurt even more
In my opinion the pain eases abit each day
I hope you start to feel better soon ☺️
♥️🥰Xx
