    Hi everyone!!
Just wondering if we’ve got any health experts here? Right so I’m sooo worried at the rate of the Coronavirus and how it’s exponentially spreading!

I was wondering if a person with breast implants were to contract it, will it jeopardise the treatment? According to statistics people with underlying health Issues are more likely to die from the virus. What about the people with breast implants?

BTW I DO NOT HAVE THE VIRUS! I just need to know what to expect if *touch wood* it happens to me and if it will be fatal

When they say people with underlying health issues they mean people who are immunosuppressed or have chronic health conditions effecting organs like their heart or lungs. You should be at no extra risk post op or at all if you are normally fit and healthy.

Think of it like flu, the symptoms are very similar. Most people will just get it, be sick for a couple of weeks (self quarantining at home) then you will feel better and you should never get it again.

Don’t freak out. Just be sensible, wash your hands regularly and you should be fine!!

I should add I am a nurse who had a BA 6 weeks ago. I’m swabbing people for corona virus regularly at work (not that I have actually come a cross anyone that is positive yet) and I’m not concerned about contracting the virus

Thanks so much girl that made feel so relieved! I commute to uni and work everyday so I’m pretty paranoid about getting infected. Godspeed to all of us x

Hi girls my ops on the 20th March I’m so scared too about my op being cancelled because of it or whether you’ll be more at risk after op of getting it! Has anyone asked a nurse or doctor?

The way things are looking at the moment, although they have cancelled all NHS elective surgery to make extra space in hospitals and free up ventilators, there is no imminent risk to private surgery. However there is talk that once the crisis worsens and hospital beds and ventilators run out they will be asking private hospitals to take patients and provide care, probably of the general admissions not covid 19. But this is a long way off yet, we are still very early on in this saga!

Don’t stress out just yet girls take it day by day! Stay safe, sensible and be mindful of anything you can do to help people in quarantine where you can 🙂

Hi. Do the ops seem to be going ahead?
I’m wondering if London will be on lockdown soon?
I had a call this week from the company that are doing the surgery on 30th asking for final payment.
I have said I want to wait till next week.
I just think everything may shut down soon!
Maybe I’m over worrying. Any thoughts girls?
    X
