Hey girl. My surgery is the 29th of this month. When I spoke to my pc the other day she said me sleiter has signed off my doctors letter I sent in which stated I no longer suffer from anxiety which my pc told me to get. She said I’m good to go. I just logged in to my mya account and it’s saying this? I was never told to get a medical summary do I need this after mr sleiter already signed my other note off? Xxxxxx
Yes everyone needs to get a brief medical summary from your GP just to make sure everything you’ve said it true and that you have no under lying medical problems that could stop the surgery from going forward, I only gave mine in last week and my surgery is on Friday. Just give them a call but I think it’s just always safer for them to read your official medical summary anyway xx hope that helps x

On my pre op I took 10 years worth of my medical history with me plus the letter from my gp saying she has no concerns for my mental health but the nurse only took the doctors letter and a letter from my consultant at the hospital that diagnosed me with an autoimmune disease. She said she didn’t need anything else. I’m so confused I’ve emailed my pc anyway and emailed my doctors to see if they can do the summary for me as soon as but they’re pretty slow with getting back to me xx
I had to physically go into my doctors to sign a consent form for them to be able to look up my medical history then go and collect it myself my the next day so be prepared to do that. When I had my pre op assessment with the MYA nurse she just told me to get a brief medical summary from my birth till now so they have it on record. So I took a picture of it once I got it then scanned it through on the MYA app, but hopefully your pc will be able to let you know whether you need to bring that in or whether your 10 year summary was enough xx
