Hi Girls, I had my surgeon consultation today with Doctor Mounir. I never knew before but I have a chest wall deformity. The right side of my chest is concave and the left side protrudes more. Though I had noticed that my left boob was slightly bigger and was positioned facing more outwards- my nipple pointing to the left rather than being forward facing- I hadn’t realised that this was an issue with my bones. Obviously, there is nothing he can do about this and with the implants, the positioning and shape of my boobs would remain the same. They won’t be symmetrical. I’m worried that they will look odd.
Dr Mounir said that it wouldn’t be that visible to the naked eye, it would only look worse with going with very big implants.
I am really disappointed and came out of the appointment crying. I know that nobody is perfect and boobs are sisters and not twins. Its really thrown me and I don’t know whether to go ahead as I think I had a different vision for myself. Has anyone else had this problem and could offer any advise? xxxx

    Hi,

I was told the same prior to surgery however my surgeon said that he will try his best to even them out when he takes some of the excess skin away (I had an uplift not just a BA). However at the moment, at 4 weeks post op, they do look more asymmetrical than before. I didn’t even notice before my op, until my surgeon told me that there’s a 2cm difference. I feel like the implants have made them look worse. My advice is to ask about whether it’s worth having a smaller cc in the bigger breast/side of your more protruding chest wall. I had 300cc in each, and I’m not sure whether it was the appropriate decision. Ask as many questions as you can. You can’t guarantee the results. Stay open minded xxx

Thanks Becks x He did say that it would be appropriate to put a 25cc less in my left/bigger side e.g. 300 cc and 325cc. I hope your are feeling okay and keeping positive. XX

That’s good to hear! And positive that your results should be absolutely fine as you have been offered different cc. I’m trying my best. I have my 6 week post op soon and I have the option of seeing my surgeon sooner if necessary. Thank you so much xx

I also have the same thing. My sternum does a bit of an S shape and my surgeon said after the op as the breast would be bigger it might be more noticeable. But post op they’re definitely more symmetrical than before!

    Hi,

Sorry I’m abit late to the chat! I also have the same problem with my chest and I’m now 2 weeks post surgery. I had a 275cc in the smaller breast and a 300cc on the other side. I do love them BUT my 300 side is taking longer to heal it’s still really sore and numb under the breast and nipple but the other is absolutely fine to touch and the nipple is back to feeling normal. The 300 breast is also slightly higher I had half and half under the muscle round implants friends are saying it’s still bruised bad so perhaps it’s just slightly taking longer as it’s a bigger implant aswell. I’m just abit worried as at the moment you can notice it.

    Cheers!!
