Sleeping angles post surgery Started by: Sally

Morning, (I didn’t have my surgery done through MYA btw) so you can probably take this with a pinch of salt. I asked my surgeon in my second consultation if I would need to sleep upright and he said no so long as you only sleep on your back you will be fine. I did attempt to sleep sat up as that seems to be what everyone is told and all i’ve heard and I couldn’t even get through one night. I’m a front sleeper anyway so knew it would be difficult. Ive slept on my back since the second night and have had no issues. I saw my surgeon yesterday 12dpo he’s happy with everything and removed dressings. If struggling not being able to sleep on my side so if I feel the need I sit up sideways with cushions supporting my side against the headboard and hug a pillow lengthways. That probably makes no sense whatsoever but hopefully helps. Best of luck with your recovery xxx
