Hello girls,
I had my breast augmentation last year in March 375 CC both dual plane. From the beginning, my right boob was slightly higher and harder. At five months post-op, I addressed my concern with the surgeon, but he told me to massage them more and reassured me that sometimes one breast takes longer to heal than the other.
At nine months post-op, I consulted another surgeon because my breast started changing shape and my nipple dropped down. That surgeon told me I might have capsular contracture. I went back to MYA, and my original surgeon said he wasn’t concerned at all, advised me to continue massaging it, and suggested doing an ultrasound just to be sure everything was fine.
I had my ultrasound two weeks ago, and it showed that I might have an intra-capsular rupture. An MRI was suggested. I went back to my surgeon, and he asked me to do an MRI since ultrasounds don’t always give a precise diagnosis.
We discussed the possibility of re-augmentation, and he suggested replacing only that implant. We also talked about the possible causes of the rupture, and we both believe it was due to a manufacturing defect. However, I’m not happy at all with how my implants look, nor with the size. If the rupture was due to a manufacturing defect, I believe both implants should be replaced because i don’t want to go through the same issue again and I’m worried that they will look way too different. Plus that i’m
doing bodybuilding and when I’m getting lean you can see all the imperfections
From the beginning, my surgeon suggested lifting the nipple on the same breast, but I never agreed. Has anyone had this done before? How do the scars look?
For those who have had re-augmentation, did you have to pay extra if you changed the size? Also, is it possible to change surgeons if I’m not happy with mine?
How’s the pain after and recovery?
