Anyone knows?
I’ve heard so many stories about cheap implants and was just wondering what to expect from MYA (I mean the standard ones)

hi kasia, im not sure what the implants are called but they are the gel filled ones, like a jelly baby.they are silicone . iv had a good feel of them at my consultation.xx
they use cohesive silicone which is sort of like a solid gel type so if it should rupture nothing would leak out into the body hth x
It’s what I found on another forum:
“i have learnt from my past mistakes, most UK surgeons use cheap implants i think mybreast is the only one to use the inspira soft touch by allergan and few other clinics use mentor but on the whole they tend to use the cheaper ones as they have a greater profit margin and also you will have revision surgery in the future to repair or replace them so more business from you . most surgeons are reallying on our insecurities and most of the general public lack of knowledge regarding surgical matters that’s why its a booming business . thank god for websites like this were we can share our experience’s and hopefully prevent any more surgical disasters . litigation is very expensive and time consuming that’s is if you can prove medical negligence in the first place and even if you do win the max basic damages is only @
Hiya I had my re-aug with MYA on the 3rd. The impants used were Allergan…As far as I beleive these are the latest impants. They are cohesive silicone. On discharge from the hospital I received my own allergen book with an ID card at the back and details of the implants used. It was discussed at my consultation at MYA that Allergan implants would be used so I never had any concerns. Hope this helps.

hi kasia, have you been for your consult at mya yet? i havent found any part of my experience with mya as cheap. i did loads of research on implants b4 i had any consultations. mya use allergan implants and cos of my breast tissue my surgeon recommended the inspira ones so i had them. as far as i am aware and from everything that i read, allergan are the biggest and best company so i was 100% happy. if you have questions you can speak to your surgeon and pc x
I had my consultation with MYA and I’m definitely going with them, was just curious which implants they use as I didn’t ask.
The info wasn’t about MYA, just to make the girls think before going abroad or use a company that is very cheap before checking which implants they use as this might be a reason they’re so cheap.
I just had mine done on Monday and got my little ID card with the Allergan implants too. I had a good feel of them at my consultation and they felt really good, plus they come with a lifetime guarantee from the company who make them so I was pretty impressed with that! Good luck xx
