    Hey,

I’ll have 9 weeks to recover before i go on holiday..so I should be fine! I’ll def make sure I wear the sports bra for the whole 6 weeks though, i wouldnt want anything to go wrong..oh do you know which sports bra are best? Iv only found the ones that go straight over your head..would that type ok??

I recieved the booklet on the op and what happens etc..its making me more excited..i know i’ll b soo nervous the night before.lol

by the way thanks for all your comments..its really nice to be able to take to people going through the same thing :) xx

    hi!!!
i had my op on 25th march and am feeling good!!! it takes 6 weeks to properly heal so they advise you not to fly, wear underwired bra, sunbeds etc for that time. the best sports bras i found are from asda! it takes a while for your stitches to dissolve (if you have disolvable ones) and your insishions to heal so its best to play it by the book.
anyway, good luck and i hope this helps. x

    I agree Emma,

I’m going on holiday to Malta 14th July for 2 weeks, and that why I want to wait untill August before I have my op! Would have loved to have gone on holiday with bigger boobs! I’ve also read that you could get an infection if you go swimming before you have had the chance to heal probably. Going on holiday and not being able to use the pool would be a waste of a holiday. They must say 6 weeks for a reason. It’s a lot of money to pay, and I’m definately going to be doing everything by the rules and wear that sexy sports bra for 6 weeks !!! Keira, think that by having your op end of June gives you loads of time for your boobs to ‘settle’ before your holiday in September :) xx

    Hello,
You do need to wear a sports bra for 6 weeks regardless of holidays or not..a bikini on a holiday booked within the 6 weeks will not give you the support.. I do not know of a good support bikini for implants!! It is not a good move to take it off within the 6 weeks. I understand everyone books holidays… but you really do need to leave at least 6 weeks after your OP if you are planning to take your sports bra off and wear a bikini!! if not the sports bra must be worn on holiday (within 6 weeks).I’ve had 2 BA’s with no problems and have followed the guidelines given. I hope this is good advice but 6 weeks is given for a reason. If you want scars to heal keep them covered!!

    Hi girls,

Just wondered if you can help/advise me…?

Im having my consultation on Sat and am going on holiday in September…I know i def want this op done but how long do they take to heal? I know you need a good wk off work, but does the swelling take ages to go down? Im worried because i am soo unconfident and am dreading wearing a bikini on holiday at the mo..Would really love to get the BA done before I go… :)

hi keira, they gave me a couple of dates to choose from in july or august. Im not in a big rush. I think the waiting list depends on what surgeon you have and if they have any cancellations. Which clinic are you going to? and what surgeon are you seeing? I saw mr mahdi at the manchester clinic, he seems really nice and heard lots of good things about him. My friend is having hers done at the same clinic with mr traynor and shes only had to wait 4 weeks shes booked for the 30th june. xx

i ad mine done on the 5th June and im goin away the 8th July im a bit worried too! i was told its fine to fly 2 weeks after if its a short haul flight which mine is (Ibiza) but my scars wont be healed properly by then so i will be coverin them up with a well supported bikini

    Hi Keira!

I had my BA done on the 3rd of June and my swelling has already gone down and have no discomft at all!
Im going away in August and Dr Adamo said my new boobies would be fine by then but if you go topless then to put a high factor sun tan lotion on your boobs and on the scars!!!!

You can go on the sun beds 6weeks after your BA so you will even have time to get ahead and sun tan!

I already cant wait he he!

    I hope all goes well!!!
