I am seriously considering getting labiaplasty in june/july. Was going to get BA at the same time but think I will leave that until next summer.

Has anyone had this procedure? I have found theres very limited information available on it and have no idea which surgeon to use.

At the moment I am swaying towards Ramsey Healthcare who are offering the procedure for £1370, would probably rather go with Mya but I can’t understand why they charge £2800 for the same procedure!

Has anyone had any experience with labiaplasty? I am a surgery virgin so extremely scared, however the issue is affecting me so much now I just need to get it sorted. I have read so many horror stories about loss of sensitivity etc!

    Thanks

I had it done two months ago with dr russo,

i am extremely pleased I’ve had it done,

I’m more comfortable and more confident and can wear whatever underwear i want and I’m just so happy with it.

I was absolutely shocked at how little it hurt.

there was honestly hardly any pain at all!

    recovery was fairly quick too.

    honestly deffo go for it!

i have no idea why it would be cheaper elsewhere though :/

make sure ur still under general anaesthetic wherever you go though, i know its can be done without for a lot cheaper, but i honestly can’t think of anything worse!

the only bad thing i have to say is that theres a section at the top below the clit where its kind of like he’s missed a bit, and it protrudes slightly, its not what i expected, but i have been reassured that if its a bit that should have been removed then it’ll be fixed.

however, even if i can’t have it fixed i wouldn’t be too bothered as its a million times better than it was before.

oh yeah, and no loss of sensation at all, i don’t see why there would be any risk of that as its nothing to do with the clit!

I had it done in March – on the NHS at a private hospital! (After 20 years paying my tax/NI contributions!!) Had no idea it could be on the NHS and was willing to pay after years of thinking about it.

Anyway, I went to my doctors, asked to see a lady, and told her it was uncomfortable, affected my confidence, sex life etc.Didn’t cry when describing it though.

Within 3 weeks it was done, hardly any pain after – slight discomfort for a week!!

No loss sensation- actually better, as flaps don’t get in the way (LOL)

The lady surgeon said labiaplasty has slipped through the ‘red tape’ and can still be NHS if psychologically affecting you.

I’m now paying for BA and rhino as it has given me the confidence to sort out the 2 other areas that have bothered me for 20 years!!

It was the 1st time I’d had a general anaethetic, and I was scared walking down to theatre, but asleep within minutes and SO SO happy now!!!!

    xx
