Hello girls, so sorry I’ve not been in contact for so long, I’ve been in hospital about my boobs for 9 days. Everything was and still is perfect with the surgery and I would praise mr Singh to the moon and back, however. One breakfast morning I was sat on the sofa planning my day and I went to stand up and at the same time sneezed. Unfortunately as I did I burst a blood vessel in my chest above my implant and below my collar bone. It’s called a haemotoma and it’s a big pool of blood that then heals into a clot. Well mine started and within less than a minute was the size of two tennis balls side by side. It’s because of the weakness in my muscle from the surgery and the pressure of my sneeze that caused a vessel to pop. It was the most excruciating pain I’ve ever felt and I was later that day told by a surgeon he would compare it to having a wide awake implant rammed into you. ( lovely feeling as you can imagine and because my skin was so tight anyway from the implant and then the only skin left was filled with blood) anyway. After a piss about with ambulances and waiting at the hospital for over 3 hours of horrific pain falling in and out of conciousness due to the pain and shock I was finally examined and given some morphine. Lots of hallucinating and laughing, crying and being sick later I was admitted to a ward and then two more finally ending in a breast clinic on day 3. Unfortunately after 2 scans and a big fat needle in my boob to suck out some blood they found the blood was too thick to be removed without an operation, or I could wait a few weeks and see I’d it went Down on its own. After 9 days in hospital, off my face on drugs, attached to a drip, prodding, probing and what feels like every man woman and dog in my town has now examined my boobs I am finally at home. I’m still in lots of pain and I have very limited movement in one arm. But I’m getting lots better and feeling a bit more normal, the lump has decreased by about half the size. I have two more weeks off work and I have to be reviewed every 10 days to see any changes ect. The risk of infection is very high and the most dangerous thing for me at the moment becau if I do contract an infection I will have to lose my implant. PLEASE DO NOT BE AFRAID OF THIS STORY! Very very few people have any side effects of surgery however, I would like to advise people of what can go wrong because I’d never heard of anything like this before. Knowing what I know now I would still 100% go ahead with the surgery and mr Singh was fantastic, this was NOT a result of his work and can happen to anyone and everyone, I just would have rather known about things like this before so it was less scary when it happened! If anyone has any questions please feel free to add me and I will be adding pictures as soon as possible. Xxxx

I had the same thing a week after surgery on the 25/8 in my left breast, and thought it was going to explode. Mr Fallahdar/London clinic tried to drain, but same problem as you. 10/9 Mr F reoperated, draining the blood completely and put in a new implant to reduce the risk of any infection/capsular contracture later. There was no infection when he operated, he just wanted to take no chances.

Have they left the same implants in you?? xx

Thank you very much for all your support everyone :)

Julie41 I’m really sorry what happened to you babe! Have you got any pictures? Mine was my left too. Unfortunately I live 3 and a half hours away from London where I had the surgery and I was too I’ll to travel to be under dr sings care so I stayed at my local hospital. The infection is being watched and i may have to have the implant removed and then put in after it’s healed and the infection has gone.

I did take pics, but haven’t got lead for that cameraphone yet, so not up. I was told if infection then implant removed and 3 months later new one put in. Hopefully you’re on the mend now. I can’t do much for 12 weeks, rather than 6 weeks. No alcohol 8 weeks was the most depressing order!! xx

Thank you for all the lovely comments. I was 10 days post op when this happened and its very rare for it to occur after the 3 day period.

Chiquita- yes I was told it was the sneeze that caused the blood vessel to burst because of the pressure and the weakness of my chest muscles from the surgery xxx

omg im having my op with mr singh and now im terrified… :(

    Menu

this story makes me slightly terrified as I sneeze about 10 times a day due to allergic rhinitis!!

    Menu

omg… im looking into getting my boobs done and just doing a bit of reasearch 1st and your story sounds teriffying but better to know the risks that can happen. How painful was it after you had your boobs done can you move about n stuff and also if you dont mind me asking how much did you pay for your boobs x

    Menu

Hope everything get better soon hun! im going to be scared to sneeze after surgery now xx

    Menu

Haha ladies it’s very rare I promise! Yeah it is a bit uncomfortable after the surgery. You can’t do a lot and you will be surprised by things like struggling to brush your teeth and filling a kettle ect but you’ll all be okay I promise! Also may I add I also sneeze bout 10 times a day at least! And I had sneezed lots in the first week and I was fine, then I was just sat in a weird position and had my arm up slightly more than i had before when I sneezed and burst it. Xx

    Menu

Well, I suppose I have put my back out before from sneezing! nothing like internal bleeds or owt though!!! Can I still use anti histamines in the run up to surgery you think? Or a steriod nasal spray? What will happen here you think? Worried!!!! :-/ xx

I got a haemotoma and seroma in my left breast…add me if you want to see how it can affect your boobs afterwards! Not pretty. P.s. the right one is just dodgy regardless of the issues I had with the left :) xx

So sorry to hear this. Hope your okay. I am also looking into a boob job and highly wanted one. Where your implants under the muscle is that how your chest muscles were weak? Or can it happen to both over or under. Xx

    Menu

im pretty sure it can happen to anyone but yes under the muscle so it has weakened my chest wall x
